Charles Lawson - The LAW versus GRACE - ONE POWERFUL MESSAGE!!! FULL SERMON

Are you sure you're going to heaven when you die? Or are you willing to chance your eternal soul and possibly end up in hell fire?? Why not make sure of the matter today, while there is still time?
The good news is: You can KNOW that you're going to heaven. The Bible clearly states:
"These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God." 1 John 5:13
You see, God wants us to KNOW, and have the matter settled. There can be no misery greater than living life wondering if some day you will lift up your eyes in hell!
The Bible so wonderfully makes salvation clear. It is a gift given of God, that cannot be earned in any way of our own doing.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost." Titus 3:5
Jesus Christ made this wonderful, free salvation possible.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Do you see what the verse says? It is simply BELIEF, or rather FAITH, TRUST, in Jesus Christ that saves. I am so thankful for these following verses that tell of man who sincerely wanted to be saved, and was told how:
"Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." Acts 16:29-30
Christ came to this earth, God in the flesh, a perfect man who never committed sin. He sacrificed His life of the cross of Calvary, shed His blood, as PAYMENT for our sin. You see, our sin separates us from a perfect and Holy God. We have no way to approach God in and of ourselves, for He is HOLY, righteous, perfect, and pure. He cannot tolerate sin. So Jesus took upon Himself the sins of the world, that we might be reconciled *(bought back) to God. We can come to the Father through Jesus Christ His Son!
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
So what must I believe, more specifically, about Jesus Christ to be eternally saved, you may ask...? You are saved by BELIEVING the good news of the Gospel, Christ's death, burial, and resurrection!
When you accept this beautiful truth, that Christ loves you and died for YOUR sins, and arose from the grave FOR YOU, TO SAVE YOU FROM HELL, and you simply say yes to Him (call upon the Lord), in child-like simplicity, offering nothing of yourself or self-righteousness to God, but clinging only to CHRIST'S MERIT and HIS righteousness, YOU WILL BE SAVED.
1 Corinthians 15 says:
"1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
2 BY WHICH ALSO YE ARE SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:"
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Would you be willing to put your whole-hearted faith on Jesus to make it to heaven... instead of trusting yourself and your own way? If you say yes, and will trust what the Bible promises to every sinner who would believe on Jesus Christ, would you humbly go to God in prayer and ask Him to save you in the name of Jesus?

This is so true. Even In the christian church today men are judged as seeking the law because another christian doesn't accept one denonimational belief or another. We are not under the law to condemn one another. We do not follow the law in vain to justify ourselves. The 15th chapter of acts is plain the law...is a yoke....of bondage. The letter killeth. No man is justified by the law. Men seek more building blocks upon christ....in "vain"

Jesus is the Grace of God who teaches us, empowers us and enables us to follow all the laws (Torah) and commandments of God which are holy, good and righteous. By reliance on obeying the laws and commandments of God is utterly impossible. The Laws and commandments by themselves have not made any man perfect. Apostle Paul did so before Jesus saved Him. Jesus is the end of the law and fulfilled them. Therefore if we were given the true grace through Jesus, we will walk in obedience to all of His commandments and Laws. As believers we should not live in sin (transgress the laws made by the perfect Lawgiver-Jesus) anymore but live in obedience to them by the grace of God that leads to righteousness which in turn leads to holiness and that which is made holy perfect us forever. If any man claims to be a believer and yet still live in sin is under the law; any man who does not live in sin is under the grace of God for it is through the Grace of God that empowers us to live in peace and obedience to Christ which leads to righteousness. He who sins is a slave to sin and only Jesus can set us free from the bondage of sin. Friends, if we seek the kingdom of God and all His righteousness by scripture, all the things we need in this life will be given us. Repent, believe in Jesus, ask for His grace and obey all His Laws and commandments.

The Lord is coming sooner rather than later I expect with all that is going on in the middle east. Isaiah 17:1 and psalm 83 are well on their way to being fulfilled and I pray the rapture be before. The law would "become upon them a burden too great for them to even bear"(10:54). In America, we understand that it IS impossible to obey OUR laws because we can't even keep track of what they are. Go to dumblaws.com and you'll see what I mean. For example, in Blythe, CA. you are not permitted to wear cowboy boots unless you own at least two cows! Our lawmakers are the modern Pharisees. This is what the Pharisees had done to God's law. They had made the law impossible to keep. Why does the pastor say Jesus was without sin when we know Jesus had broken several of the Pharisaic "laws"? Because breaking those laws is not a sin, because they are "but rules taught by men"--not God's Law. But if Jesus did keep all of the real Laws of God, and Jesus was fully human while incarnate, then why can't other humans? Jesus said those who do will be called great, but those who don't--least. Why would Jesus say "those who do" if it is impossible to do? The Law may not have anything to do with my salvation, but it certainly has something to do with how God perceives me. In this life, we have strived to be great: sons/daughters, students, athletes, friends, professionals, parents...whatever; but, for eternity we want to be called least? Was the original sin the willful breaking of God's commandment, or was it the commandment itself? Who was guilty of sin in the Garden, the ones who broke the commandment--or the One who gave the commandment? Did Jesus suffer and die to save us from God, or ourselves?

The law spoken of in Galatians is not the 10 commandments..it is the law of Moses...the laws of the sancturary..the law of animal sacrifice..why can't people see this? It is the law of Moses...not the law of God ..the 10 commandments...The animal system was nailed to the cross..not the 10 commandments..
