Excellent interview - thank you. I am of the left leaning post war generation that hated all that Mrs Thatcher stood for. With the benefit of hindsight I now think she was right and we owe her a debt of gratitude. I almost feel like I should apologise to her. I am currently reading vol 1 of her biography by Charles Moore and it is truly an amazing read.

Superb interview which made me yearn for a clone of our Maggie. How the UK needs a character of her devotion, energy, focus and sheer courage.

I am here after watching the entire 4th season of Netflix's The Crown and I can say that Netflix presented her in negative shade. She was a woman in man's world, in that orthodox time and she did achieved a lot of good things. No one is perfect, she made bad choices too but they did not show how she fought with Russians, union mafias and Argentina. All they presented her as a perfect crazy "Karen". At one end they preach girls to be a ruthless crazy strong feminist but then when they have such real life character who kicked the asses of old rich men, they paint that character in negative shade. She was a key player in cold war, worked equally with men like Gorbachev & Reagan, did not get sandwiched between them. The Crown did not show any of her efforts of Cold War. Margaret Thatcher is a complex character , it cannot be framed in the definition of good or bad, she was beyond that.

Great interview. Thanks. I remember the Faulklands war. Thatcher taught the Argies they couldn’t invade British Territory. We now are teaching the EU a lesson!

And now in 2021 she has even been proven right about the EU. "She had the courage of her convictions". The same can be said of Donald Trump - and he is having to fight the same back-stabbers in his own party, that finally brought down Maggie. Let's hope Donald will stay strong.

I believe that Margaret Thatcher loves the principles of the freedom and equality of the opportunities as an individual citizen in Great Britain. She also realized her unrisistble duties as a Prime Ministor to ensure citizens of all in the Great Britain to be able to enjoy freedom and equality of the opportunities principles in the country unselfishly as well as her own patriotism and loyalty toward her country by protecting and defending their own Constitutional authority for freedom and equality of the opportunities. She is a very respectful, principled and patriotic Governing leadership in their country at the time.

In regards to income tax. In 1978 when Labour was in government the highest rate of income tax, for those earning £20,000 or more a year was a hopping 83% with additional national insurance contributions too. Thatcher lowered it in 1979 to 60%.

This is interesting because I just watched The Crown and the picture of Margaret Thatcher given by the show was quite terrible. I’m glad to be corrected.

I wonder how many rebuttals of the facts about Thatcher, have gone on at the BBC in comparison? Id rather get my information from this channel than one that promotes the song `Ding dong the witch is dead`. With reference to your other comment. We bailed out Northern Rock & Royal Bank of Scotland because they hail from areas of the country, where Gordon Brown had his biggest voter base. There's that, and he knew the crisis would leave trails all the way back to when he deregulated the banks.

Continue from above, Actually, I believe that our great country America’s own established principles of Constitution also states the the importance and principles of freedom and equality of the opportunities. It’s not only Americans need to stand up for it as well as appropriate what we have for others to dream for it. As ever of our own elected Governing leaderships also have their duties and patriotism and loyalty toward our own established rules of laws to protect and defend America’s freedom and equality of the opportunities by own recognition of the America’s patriotism and loyalty toward our country America and the principles of America altogether. I guess. In any country where with massive immigrants either new or existing or long time citizens, or even native Americans of all, if we neglect the constant education of America’s patriotism and loyalty, principles of Foundations and Constitution, we will easily be confused or influenced by others or other ideologies from any other unknown nations. The matter is who influences whom.
