I love your channel!! Lots of fun. This is a gorgeous 58 Cadillac . I have my parents 58 Cadillac they bought in 1960. Series 62 sedan. Prestwick gray exterior, and 2 tone silver interior. Has factory air conditioning, and power windows,, wonder bar radio, etc.. Lifelong Palm Springs car. I was 1 year old when they bought it from a Doctor friend of theirs. Mom gave it to me in 1982. I still drive it around, car shows too. I love it terribly, part of the family as they say. I would be inconsolable if something happened to it!! So here we are in 2021, she's 63, and I'll be 62. We're growing old together!!! Lol. Thanks for the fun videos.

We had a ‘58 Cadillac Fleetwood when I was a child. Riding on the “throne,” the armrest in the middle of the backseat, is exactly what I did! Ours was Calcutta Cream, a soft butter yellow with beige interior. It had the air suspension, too. Did you see where you put in the gas? Of course not. You pushed the center between the two taillights on the driver’s side and the entire taillight mechanism flipped up and the gas cap was behind it. My grandmother had a pink and black ‘56. What fabulous automobiles!

We also had a 58 Fleetwood. Was like riding in a spaceship for me a little kid. Me n Dad still reminiscing about the car over 55 yrs later! He still regrets selling it, I asked him why he sold it and he said repairs on it were very costly. I got 22 m.p.g. hwy!

I can’t imagine how Proud my Grandfather would be driving this back in 1958. Poor gramps who loved cars as much as I do (that’s where I get it from and not because he talked cars with me, he could barely speak english) He changed cars almost 2 times a year. He would always buy used and do what ever they needed done and when they ran perfect he would trade it in for the next one that caught his eye. Everyone wanted the cars that he was giving up as they knew it had to be running perfect.

I own a '58 too, and growing up in the 60's when these were just used cars, to my little kid mind these cars (esp the Mopars) always looked like they were gonna eat me with their big toothy grills and menacing eyes...even today with my '58, which I love, I still kinda get the heebie jeebies standing in front of it, if I stare too long into its dominant face. so these were never a smile for me! also, those fins will take out a kidney...ask me how I know. I know!

@johnfranklin52773 жыл бұрын
No, its a Sedan de Ville. Different interior trim, higher quality. I have a series 62. However, mine has FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING. And power windows. This car does not have air conditioning. Yes, back in 58, those were options, EXPENSIVE OPTIONS.
