Great style and movement! Very well performed with a generous portion of liveliness and spice. I like the stance and the positive energy of the inner felt amusement and play. Good Job Charles... Really!

Marvellous, I listened to Ingolf Wunder Walz A Flat major op. 34 before playing this clip. Though I kept my fingers crossed for Wunder 5 years ago, Hamelin playing is more to my liking. Hamelin's Chopin combines authority (and weightiness) with effotless musicality, without which romantic music tends to sound as if it was too challenging for the artist.

WOW. JUST PLAIN WOW. VERY COMPLEX HIGH LEVEL PIECE.
@daniwang15126 жыл бұрын
Technically it isn’t a super high level piece, for Hamelin, it would have been very easy since it is only level 9 RCM. Performers participating in the Chopin Competition, are likely ARCT level and higher.

Too fast fast and weird posture, he is so fast that it doesn't feel like a dance
@pubgplayer17204 жыл бұрын
It shouldn't feel like a dance, you fool. I don't know how many people I've had to explain this to; some of Chopin's waltzes aren't remotely danceable, and they are still considered waltzes due to 3/4 time. It's only most Viennese waltzes that are composed for dancing, such as Johann Strauss'. I've seen so many stupid comments like yours lol. Chopin's waltzes have a some what danceable quality, that does not mean they're actually danceable. They're completely intended only for concert performance. If you think that this waltz is too fast it doesn't feel like a dance, listen to the Grande Valse Brilliante op. 18. That's super fast. Also, the minute waltz. Do either of them feel like a dance? I don't think so. They're both in 3/4 time, tho. Retard.

@@albertweedsteinthethuggeni7797 Bro, just cause a piece is titled "waltz", doesn't mean that it should feel like an actual dance. The melodies are like a waltz, and the tempo is too.
