My favourite TV theme tunes as a kid were Daktari, High Chaparral, Hawaii Five O, and, of course, Mission Impossible. I still love them to this day and watch the intros on KZbin. Off track from the video but the sheet music on the card for this video takes me back to, as a high schooler, learning the art of writing out sheet music by hand for a local city jazz band. I think a lot of people don't realize this music is hand-written and passed around locally, books are traded, to the point where people in the industry know solid transcribers. It's more than just copying out notes on paper, it's having an awareness of all the parts and looking out for any mistakes across the entire cache of different instruments you're writing for. And additionally having an artistry in the clarity of songs and notes you are writing out, so musicians can play them clearly by sight for the first time on a gig. Anyways, just a fun note on what goes into the success of local music sometimes :)
