I'm in northwestern PA, and we get some pretty harsh winters here. I sprayed Surface Shield under my truck a couple years ago and just went under it again this fall to re-apply. I was utterly amazed at how this stuff was still holding up. Most areas were literally still wet and oily from when I sprayed it 2 years ago. The best part is it doesn't make a huge mess, and it doesn't smell bad. Awesome stuff. 👌

Hey I just put this stuff on the bottom of my 2011 silverado. It’s not supposed to dry? It’s supposed to stay wet? I almost washed it all off because it wasn’t drying. Never used this stuff before

Pb blaster surface shield 🛡 is awesome stuff I sprayed my 2021ram1500 when it was new just put a second coat on it in 2023 no Rust still looks new and wet 😀

fluid film works good but i had to thin with vegetable oil to get a good spray......only used surface shield out of the spray can and it holds up well....gonna try the gallons

Great Video Charles! I sprayed my 2020 F150 and my wife 2017 Odyssey with it last week. hoping she holds up to Ontario winters. I unfortunately didn't buy a good quality spray gun so I lost half my product from spillage. Followed your link and bought the same one as you. Thanks again!

Quick tip, buddy has a 2015 f150, doors are starting to corrode in the typical areas they do when they're steel. Spray the cavities. I was shocked too.

I would still do body panels aluminum does corrode look at some older expeditions tail gates around the license plate trim

aluminum doesn't rust, but is does corrode. you may want to hit those areas.

Agreed, and especially where aluminum parts and panels are fastened with steel bolts. The chemical reaction between those metals will eventually eat right through the aluminum and is accelerated by exposure to air and road grime/salt. A coat of this product would slow that process down.

when aluminum corrodes it creates a surface layer that protects itself but it wont hurt to do it if you want.

It wouldn't hurt to do the body of the truck as aluminum does corrode. Did the one gallon tub do the entire truck?

Wondering if my pancake compressor is up to snuff or I’m missing a piece to my extension wands. When I use them they don’t spray. This is even cranked as high as 100psi. Is my CFM not enough? Am I missing a brass nozzle before the wands?

Where the spray hose screws onto the gun only engage 1 to 2 threads to allow fluid to flow through.

I would still spray your aluminum parts, bc if you have any type of contact between two different metals it will start to corrode.

Liquid springs are fantastic! Have had them now for over 13k miles with flawless operation! My F550 actually rides like a F150 very smooth ride!!

Just because the body panels are made out of aluminum doesn't mean that metal oxidation will not occur. steel and iron oxidize to iron-oxide and is what we know as rust and is reddish brown. Aluminum also will oxidize to aluminum oxide which is white, but aluminum can also be oxidized completely through causing holes in your body panels, so you should also spray your body panels with Surface Shield to protect them from oxidation IMO.

I believe you can spray and go with waiting, but waiting can't hurt and allow the fluid to slightly firm up - although it never actually dries...

Hey Undercarriage washes are nice but if the car wash uses recirculated water that drops from the previous washes then goes through a filter process. If the filter process doesn’t include a filter for salt it stay in the water and it get used to wash under side of your vehicle. Need I say more.
