Vintage Bruce Lee Collectibles | Largest Bruce Lee Collection

I remember back in 73’ when I lived on 10th Street between B&C and the Bruce Lee films had played at the Jefferson and Loew’s Delancey theaters, there was a girl that lived on my block named Maria, she was a petite and very unassuming girl who knew I liked the Kung Fu films. I remember her inviting me to her apartment and showed me a box filled with “Chinese” Bruce Lee photos and what really blew my mind was when she showed me photos of “Way of the Dragon” which I knew nothing about (as Fists of Fury, Chinese Connection and Enter The Dragon were the only theatrical films I knew about at the time) but what impressed me more was that she was the ONLY female Bruce Lee fan I had ever met. Very cool seeing Cozetta’s collection which reminded me of Maria. To think that was over 50 years ago!

@@CharlesDamianoBLC My pleasure brother. Here I am contemplating on how time waits for no one and sadly “memories” are what we look to in reminding us of that fabulous era. There was nothing like it! Everything was NEW and fans were much too excited and thrilled to go at each other’s throats fighting over who has this or who has that. The 70’s cinema experience was like no other which we can still appreciate all due to today’s “preservationists!”

Lee inspired me to train Martial arts for 25 years, sometimes , I did feel my body exhausted, but whenever dark moments came. I always thought of this incredible martial artist genius . And I would keep on training .. Thanks, Mr. LEE. RIP. I don't care if you were the best fighter or not, in my heart. You always my #1 idol. Some People just don't see how much you had changed the martial arts field, and also inspired millions of people join in and have good exercises and mind training.

@@CharlesDamianoBLC seeing Enter The Dragon as a child. And in Australia, the Bruce Lee magazines were everywhere. Plus my granny took me to see as many kung fu movies a week in the 70s til 75. Then late with the Hong Kong explosion of movies each week in Chinatown. The lobby cards got me excited and movie posters on Chinese restaurant windows. My granny encounter little Bruce Lee as he liked to kick the rat traps on telegraph poles. My granny would tell him off many times to stop it.

Wow what a collection!! I really enjoyed seeing the vintage Enter The Dragon promo material and newspaper ads. Enter The Dragon is my favorite Bruce Lee movie and it’s always great seeing vintage material like that. The only thing from Cozeta’s collection that I have are a few of the vinyl records. Also it was really cool to see all those letters you have kept over the years Charles! That is really genuine. Most people might not have thought much about those as years went on and would have discarded those over time. Thank you for keeping them safe🙏🏼

Omg, Charles, I am blown away by the the work and passion she put into her collection! Thank you so much for displaying her awesome collection and for all the work you put in to display it. Makes me realize how much I missed out in that I spent most of the early 70s in the Philippines and I had to backtrack for years to acquire most that I missed that came out in the US while my dad and family was stationed overseas. I just wanted to comment how much I am inspired by Cozetta and the work you do to keep Bruce's legacy alive! Great show Charles...! A fantastic collection from Cozetta Stokes.... a wonderful way to celebrate Bruce Lee and ETD. What a nostalgia to get a glimpse of those times around when ETD was first releassd. The newspaper paper cuttings , photos of first day crowds at theatres and the promo material, the still captures during the filming everything is amazing. All this shows how much of other efforts, beside making the movie, has gone into making of ETD, making it a legend forever.

I've forgotten what it was like to write and mail out a letter to someone. The excitement of receiving one and reading them. Those were the days man. The super 8 trailers and 16 mm film trailers as well. Your classic collection is unique well worth its weight in value. Cozetta how many years collecting? I have all the Kung Fu Monthly's UK ones that Is. That copy of Fighter. Quite a few of the mags. And nearly all plus some of the Vinyl Records. She didn't have the Enter The Dragon Soundtrack Album that features the Entire Film on Vinyl. I have a Second copy (My Brother's now passed) If She Is Interested. I have all the UK Posters as well. I would have to go through the stuff I have again. I haven't looked through them In years. She has a Fantastic Collection there, Well done Girl. Keep 'Em Coming.

There was once a Lee story. I like to share with the fans,. This was a karate movie stuntman in Hong Kong said one of his teacher, a very good kung fu man. Was invited to Lee,s first demonstration in HK in 1964?? . It was Hold in another kung fu grandmaster house. Was expect some media reporters attended . But only the karate guy, S teacher showed up. And he also ran a martial arts magazine in HK. Bruce showed him a simple straight punch first. And asked his opinions, he replied very good. But not more further comments. LEE knew right away. He met a guy who knows about kung fu and also very knowledgeable. Then Lee threw a second punch. And asked him again. He said to Lee, great punch. Lots of power with speed,.. Then they went for a walk in the park. LEE asked him what his special skills, he replied his kickings, and Lee asked him to demonstrate, so he did few kicks, and Lee copied then 😮asked him, how did he do. He said 70% or more like him . But he then said, he learned these kickings in multi years, and only took Lee few minutes to copy , unbelievable, he said he never met a martial arts Genius like him . later, when he told this story in his magazine,. He said he was shocked about how strong powerful punch he could deliver.And he said he never seen any kung fu guy able to punch like him. ., he knew Lee will become a great martial artist.
