My husband and I were married in October 2014. We both share a love for The Beatles, so all of our ceremony music was Beatles music. It was beyond awesome! We had a hard time finding a song for me to walk down the isle to; a lot of the Beatles love songs are more upbeat and not fit for a wedding ceremony. I've always loved this song, but the original is just too bubble-gummy for that setting. I stumbled upon this version one day, and knew this was it! It's so beautiful! This is by far the best version of this Paul McCartney composition. The performance is refreshing and light-footed in every way. Both the pipe solo and the harmony voice in the middle section give the song a completely new note that you have to miss at McCartney. I would particularly like to highlight the incredibly convincing voice of Charles. And last but not least, Katie's hearty laugh. The guitar work is very, very nice. And your ambiguous eyes open ...!
