Coach Charles Distance is so important. Ur correct 💯. I have more weight on the back foot that's how you generate power it's just like baseball transferring weight you're correct

Moving to your right versus an orthodox boxer from the orthodox stance positions you for the right down the line. We train our orthodox boxers to move to their left versus an orthodox boxer. The exact same for our orthodox boxers versus a southpaw opponent by keeping their lead foot or left foot outside the southpaw lead foot or right foot.

So are you teaching them to walk into the opponent's right hand?
@DEZINE5Ай бұрын
@Charlessalbox NO WE DON'T DO THAT. I was taught by family member's that were World Champions. My cousin Ike Williams was lightweight Champion. He taught me.

@Charlessalbox I provided a detailed description of foot position. I have learned this since 1962.

Nice presentation of the Jab. I recall in Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do he mentions tensions on the legs so there’s an instantaneous reaction to the opponent. If the weight is distributed on the back foot >50% the simple lifting of rear foot propels you back more abruptly then simply stepping back. How do others view this?

@@CharlessalboxI guess for your basic 1-2 what’s the proper way of shifting your weight after jab for that snappy 1-2
@Bo-on4onАй бұрын
@@Charlessalbox or is by pivoting on your back foot for your two enough of a weight transfer for power sorry if this doesn’t make sense lol
