I don't model the Santa Fe, but like many, my first train set had two war bonnet F units with a freight train. And I got a blue and yellow GP7 also. Then, with Christmas money ,I bought three streamlined passenger cars, lettered Santa Fe. I was rolling . My grade school library had a book , by Lionel I think, on how to build scenery. I was hooked. I kept checking that book out until the librarian said I had my limit. Thanks for the memories.

Our family rode the Chief (the Denver section) to LA many times. We got on in Colorado Springs and our section joined the Chicago section in La Junta. We always had full bedrooms and the diner. I would spend the day up in the vista dome. Great memories.

Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end. As a culture and society we've lost so much to greed and reduced quality of life

One of the gasometer tanks is visible at 6:48. It's now the location of the Los Angeles County Jail. A lot of the older Hollywood films would show the tanks in the background, or even make them (there were two gasometers at one time) part of the story. So cool to see them in color.
