Charles, according to reliable German outlet Kicker, Sesko's release clause is valid until 6/30. Guimaraes release clause is valid until 6/24. I don't think Arsenal will do early business but judging by the situation, there will at least be 1 or 2 signings(besides Raya) before the start of the Euro and Copa America? And also, the likes of Hato aren't going out for the Euro's which means Arsenal do have some freedom to talk and lay the groundwork if they are willing to do so.

This is how I see it. If there is a striker Arteta feels can fit into the team he will buy him if price ok, but he absolutely will not switch to another striker just for the sake of it if he can't get the one he wants. Arteta buys not just ability and position but also on attitude and personality, if anything, I think he regards the person as more important than ability- and in such a team game that we play I get it. We've scored more goals than ever before, and did the same last year, so the only real need for a striker is in those really, really tight games- but they aren't frequent hence I don't think we'll break the bank for it. More important positions to be filled are- No 6/8, LCB to cover Saliba, and RW to cover Saka.

I think this summer we do need top quality to come in. I have no issues/worries with our first 11-14 players, but there is clearly players that aren't at the required level/Arteta doesnt trust. A backup to Saka is a must. Either that be a player who is purely a winger or is a player who can play across the front line (looking at profiles like Kudus/Bowen/Gyokeres). We need a backup for Odegaard if that isnt going to be vieira or ESR. A backup for Saliba, mainly a similar type profile who can give is as close to what Sailba gives us as possible. I would also love a proper LB and LCM. Whatever happens, i have full trust in Arteta. Players i see leaving. Taveres, Lokonga, Tierney, Ramsdale, Nketiah, Nelson. Possible players Partey, ESR/Vieira and Zinchenko.

Left wing with Jurian Timber at Left back playing inverted should help Martinelli be more productive. But if we were to target Nico Williams, he would cover both wings at 45m. Sesko at Striker for 55m is definitely our ceiling, considering our need for a top midfielder. Hato at 20-30m. for defensive cover would definitely fit our profile and versatility skills, etc.

Hi Charles, I think we are missing something about this issue , Kai might increase hi Tally last season but its not about quantity , we have enough goals in out team , I think its about scoring big goals in big games, if you look at Diego Costa , his highest in the PL was 16 which most of our players can manage , but it was not about that , it was about the brace he scored against us , its about that goal against City in the Fa cup , these big games that got Chelsea over the line in the league title under Conte and in the FA cup , that is what we need , we needed someone to score almost out of nothing against Villa or against Liverpool in the fa cup or even at the Allianz , someone to score even from a half chance , thats what you get with an out and out Striker , Kai , as good as he's done , can't give us that

This team almost feels like the 97/98 team, we need an Ian Wright, Anelka and Petit. I think Rice is our Vieira (box to box). Martinelli or Saka (Overmars). Odegaard shows signs of Bergkamp. I thought Ramsdale was the nearest to David Seaman, Raya bit like Lehmann makes a few mistakes but is still a good keeper. At the moment it feels more like the 96/97 team without an Ian Wright, not quite good enough to win the title but close, as we came 3rd that Season, just behind Prime Man Utd and Newcastle with £15 mill signing of Shearer.

Pay Sesko release clause get a starting striker with massive potential for a decent fee and the. Focus on the starting mid that is somewhere from 70-100 mil depending on who that target is. Then buy the second choice striker/winger type, defender (Hato?)

ESR played with a groin injury for a long time, then he had surgery and had to recover, and best I can tell, he was not fully recovered before he played and then had to take another long lay off. It was not until well into the second half of the season that he approached full fitness. Will he go? Good question. He is finally fit and seeing him come on vs Everton where he had a decent cameo makes me think he will stay not go.

@hlonisoulo3033 The thing is that Kudus won't necessarily be a backup for Saka. We all know Arteta wants to be unpredictable and this would help. Also, Kudus can play either wing, so can play in the same line up or come in for Saka. We also can't have another season where we don't do well in the cups, which means more games the further we go. Saka has been overplayed in his last 2-3 seasons already as well.

I would like to see us strengthen at LB, CB, CM and STR. We also need a new number 2 if Rambo leaves and cover on the wing but competitive cover not someone happy to play 2nd fiddle. I personally would love Theo Hernandez at LB but it is wildly optimistic. I think Antonee Robinson would be great and could be our left sided Benny Blanco. Hato would be another good addition as he can play LB and CB so would be a 2in1 kind of deal. Happy with Robinson or Hato but feel Robinson could hit the ground running. Diomande is another linked but in truth,if we get a deal for Hato done, we won't need to pursue Diomande. In CM I would like Rice to move back to a number 6 and would like us to pursue a quality number 8. I would like to see De Jong or Eze and lean more towards Eze. He's PL ready and could become a great player under Arteta. On the wing I think it has to be either Olise or Williams and again am leaning towards the PL player. Up top I am happy with Havertz but would like to see Sesko get done. I'd ease Sesko into the team and go with Kai as the main man at least to begin the season. Sesko would be a cheaper option than Isak and I think would be more reliable in terms of fitness and I think he has room to grow and could potentially exceed Isaks level. It's exciting being an Arsenal fan these days and I look forward to seeing what we do in this window and the season ahead. COYG

It is irrelevant if Arteta signs a new contract or not. No club is going to keep a manager who doesn't want to be there and if Arteta gets an offer and decides he wants to go then, contract or not, Arteta will go. Arsenal will of course get some compensation if he has a contact but that's not usually significant by footballing standards.
