Hey Charles, have you seen the Dani Olmo links with Arsenal? If he is available as a free agent next month, Arsenal should definitely go all in for him as he can cover both flanks and midfield. With Saka out for a long time, we need a attacking signing. Against Ipswich, Martinelli looked below par again and half of our bench filled with LB doesn't look good at all. P.S)Johan Bakayoko who was linked with Arsenal for the past 2 yrs is also a free agent next summer so he could also be on the agenda as well.

I still think Odegaard was a bigger loss then Saka is. Not taking away from how good and freaky he is.. but I think Arsenal can still function as long as that core midfield keeps together.

Hello Charles, Bournemouth have been fun to watch this season, can’t help but push the Semenyo agenda further. I know he’s talked about being a contender for a Saka backup but I think it would be more interesting to see him and Martinelli compete for LW, since no one has really taken ownership of that position, or rather no one has been consistently good enough to really cement their spot. Semenyo has good defensive work rate, is English and apparently an Arsenal as well. He also seems like a confident and smart player and technical enough to play for Arsenal, but does he raise the bar at Arsenal? Do we need him to raise the bar, or do we just need him to be able to stay fit and rotate minutes with Martinelli/Trossard?

Hello Charles! Hope you feel better soon. Saka’s injury has changed things considerably and I’ve made my thoughts clear before on Martinelli at last getting the support around him that Saka gets all year. That said when we are back to normal I’m looking forward to the assistance Calafiori will give to Martinelli and our left wing attack as Ricci looks very eager to push forward when he plays. Rice looked much more like his normal self last game. Nice to see!!COYG!!

Totally agree with you. Young Ethan has been poor in the last three games. This isn't a surprise as most teenagers have a dip in form whilst learning their trade. This is NOT the time for outlandish experiments. Martenelli has always played well on the right. Remember his brilliant right-wing performance against Everton, in the last game of the 23-24 season? He has earned his place on the RW. Why put in a currently out of form kid who has never played there for us before. Another half time, hooked off, substitution would destroy the kid.

Martinelli can do the job, and he's different from Saka and I think he can increase his G/A over the next 8/10 weeks. Saka injury might be good for the team. We have become too predictable, especially when we are up against intensely defensive low blocks. SAKA strength and the teams acute dependence on him is making us one dimensional on the right. Wishing him all the best and hoping we will continue to progress in his absence.

Hey Charles, that wasn't the best match to watch, but I thought we managed the game well. Especially for a 1 nil. We probably should have scored more but it was a nice little birthday win for me today. Odegaard looked frustrated without Saka. I think Ethan might be the best suited to play on the right. MLS should have come off at the hour mark. He was gassed out. Would have loved a KT cameo for the last half hour

Strangely enough this is the “shake up” we need.. all teams put 2 players and even at times 3 players on him and we fail to quickly switch play to the left . Teams will have a new arsenal offensive line to deal with and it will be unpredictable. Saka is a great player , but I’m hoping a new line up will catch opponents out .

Hey Charles, Arsenal were way too slow in terms of ball progression today, playing it too safe with little or no intensity. At times, they were even sloppy, giving the ball away unnecessarily. Arteta has run Saka into the ground. Saka has played an incredible amount of minutes this without being rested. This shows the inexperience of Arteta in terms of not knowing when to rotate and who to rotate.

Just watched the match and I posted this over on Gunnerblog's channel as well, so apologies for the duplicity. To me this game is just further evidence of this team being what they are. Very strong defensively as a rule, but lacking clinical scoring. We do get the occasional multi-goal game, but that seems to be offset by these struggles that just won't cut it as far as a title challenge goes, especially with Liverpool playing at a class level similar to what you might expect from MC in previous years (at least up until now). Arseblog just posted that Saka had surgery on his hamstring and that probably equates to 12 weeks maybe best case. Essentially, he's done for the season if that's so (and I'm not even going to get into the possible long-term implications). We know we need attacker upgrades if we're going to take advantage of this "window" we are in. Windows can be fragile. If at all possible we need to get someone in January as an initial one of two or three. Right now, my head is even more in retain a top four position this season so that we remain an attractive target for players and can carry the window forward.

Not a great performance. I felt nervous in the 2nd half that they were going to punish us but they didn’t look good at all. A better team would have punished us tonight. I thought Rice was exceptional (again!). For me, Ødegaard looked off it until he picked up what we thought was an ankle injury in the 2nd half and for the next 25 minutes it’s as if he woke himself up and thought what am I doing and became orchestrater (but then dropped off it towards the end) Take the points and move on but not an enjoyable watch! This is the opportunity for Arteta to give Ethan his chance. I personally think Ethan would thrive on the right wing over Martinelli. Ethan is the only closest thing to Saka than anyone else. I also see a spontaneous relationship between him and Odegaard. I also hear that Saka won't need surgery because his injury is not a "full tear," which means he might be out for at most 2 months? Potentially controversial January transfer No.1 wish ... A right back. We have fit players who can fill the RW position without being shoehorned in, or losing something where they came from, Martin🎉elli, Jesus, Nwaneri etc. We've played Partey at RB multiple times, denying us his dynamism in CM, whilst also being a bit ropey as he's unused to the role. As much as Tomi is a fan favourite, we know his time is probably short at the club. Ben White is also out till ...who knows, leaving Timber the 1 RB in the squad. I rest my case.

Is it me or the way arsenal played was not a title winning performance. 1) very predictable play most of times 2) manger has no trust in others in team. Odgegard had to be substituted.Substitution was not great. 3) Jesus had little to do. 4) our captain was shooting long range without any accuracy. 5) we failed in summar transfer. All substitute quality players with no impact. Manger is very rigid and doest have a entertaining style. Eve though we won, this game showed me we wont win the trophy. Even if we sign great players in Jan, they will take time to adjust. We will be challenegers with this mentality.

He is better than Partey though. Even though Rice has dropped a bit due to the Euros (as other players are suffering too), he doesn't give the ball away cheaply, closes down quicker, and is more mobile. Partey 2-3 years ago was definitely the best midfielder in the country, but now injuries and age have caught up with him- so now Rice is 100% a better player.
