Thomas will have one hell of a season and win us some trophies . And also think people are too harsh on zinchenko . Charles,i think the Liverpool game showed why Arteta do not believe in fringe players and what would happen if we rotate our players in cup games. Sorry for Zinchenko and Kiwior, but they were below par and Liverpool managed to attack our weak left side. Nelson will likely be sold but performance like that from Martinelli and Jesus just keep making me think we need a gamechanger signing in attack. Vieira,Trossard and Nketiah was also below standard. Only Havertz and Odegaard proved why they were firm starters. Finally, Partey needs to be sold. His physical form looks nothing like before. Did not seem to handle the pressure nor defend well. Injuries seem to effected his physical form. BUT,Skelly was impressive at left back! Would love to see him break into the first team this season with Nwaneri. Both of them proved they are well worthy of professional football! Yes we are missing Rice,Saliba and Saka but they can not play every single minute of the season. We definitely need good reinforcement in the attcking area. Our rotation players needs to step up when given chances.

Hi Charles. I personally can't see arsenal expanding the stadium. I agree with what you said about the council and local views but the location of the ground being in-between two railways means it would be almost impossible to expand without closing down those lines. The concourse on those sides is narrow enough already. The original design of the stadium was so that they took the biggest advantage of the triangular shape of the Ashburton grove site. Hopefully, modern renovations will happen asap

I’ve always wondered about this. Now I’m certainly no expert on this subject. But when your sitting in the stadium, you can see each corner has space for more seats, why can’t they just build up the corners could surely get 500 extra seats in each 4.

Hello Charles Just watched the game against Liverpool First 35 minutes was quite poor, no domination or combinations when in possession - Arteta certainly got into them at half time as they were more on it without having a killer edge tho Was good to see us get a goal back before half time and Zinny did well at the start of that move but at that point we were 2 down with the first being his fault getting caught. Shows why Calafiori is such an essential signing. Also Viera out wide doesn’t work - he lacks the personality and belief to beat a man or grab a game by the scruff of the neck I know its a friendly and we dominated large portions of the second half but this must show them we still need strengthening with depth in the middle and wide otherwise we’ll end up in a situation where Arteta won’t trust him and be left short Be very interesting how we line up against Leverkusen and also how me go in the market when back on home soil Cheers for the content as always! Interesting one about an increase in size of the Emirates. As a horticulturist gardener my big worry would be with the design of the make over, with it making sure that there would still be more than enough air flow through to and over the pitch. A lot of stadium design's ignore the most important bit in my opinion, the health of the playing surface.
@littlelion69312 ай бұрын
that would be why they employ professionals to make sure the environment is perfect for healthy growth. alternatively, they just re-turf. this is the most minor of minor issues 😂🤦🏼
@jc60872 ай бұрын
Football grounds in England only use grass which means any stadium design takes that into account, the stadium isn't covered so it has air flow and if they can't get the sun they need they'll use grow lights. p.s by grass I mean the grass/artificial weave they use these days. The makeover will be superficial, there won't be any changes made to the structure because that would require planning permission and Islington aren't going to be easy to convince, trust me I'm an Islington resident. Islington gives out more parking/traffic tickets than Northern Ireland but they employ gardeners that don't have secateurs, I once collared 5 of them and asked if any of them had a pair and none of them had any, they couldn't even tell me what the most known brand of secateurs were (felco). I asked for their qualifications and they had none, not even the RHS level 1 or equivalent which takes a couple weeks to do and teaches you basics like pruning... It's going to be an uphill struggle getting anything done with Islington.

Hi Charles, great show. ....About a year ago I made an Excel Spreadsheet of all the (First Team) Transfers both In and Out that have happened under Edu. For me, Edu is the problem at Arsenal. He is average at best-- not good enough. When you look at his signings, when you look at the money, when you look at the sales -- holistically, EVERYTHING is below par. A few good choices (such as Odegaard, Magalhaes, & Ben White) really get dragged down by a host of bad choices (Tavares, Lokonga, Vieira, Turner, Marquinhos, Willian, David Luiz, Ceballos, Pablo Mari, etc). He is incapable of selling our assets at appropriate prices. He is incapable of negotiating good deals for targets we want. He is incapable of consistently scouting future stars (compare his Hits and Misses!). Edu is an "Okay" talent, average. Mediocre. But we need someone MUCH better. (Rice at 116.5 million was exactly equal, neither a Plus or a Minus. Same argument for White, really, at 58.5 million.) I issue to you a Friendly challenge to compare ALL of the Transfers under Edu and dare you to disagree with me! - W E Ray

I dont think exapnsion woudl ever happen. The design was very much done to allow the best water and sunlight exposure for the pitch (which is why the roof slopes as it does etc.) and to change that means having to look at new ways of nuturing the surface and as you rightly say, the planning consents were very tight and I cannot see these getting torn up to allow us to grow the ground. I dont think Chido is talking about isnatnt pathway but over the next 2-3 years. I dont think Mikel is happy using youngsters as he has had many chances to do so and not taken them and we have to assume Chido was told how we saw him developing and Manure made a more compelling case. He could have got more money else where but clearly believes that this route will get him closer to first team minutes quicker. To be honest if they continue to struggle its clear that he will get a chance more quickly than with us if we continue to do well.

There is a reason the most we have sold a player is around 34million.

Comical bid for Eddie however can surely only be envisioned as a consequence of our poor reputation for selling despite the improvement we have seen with Emile, anything less than 30m for Eddie is a bad sale.

eddie is a tap in merchant apart from 1 goal against sheffield utd. link up play is poor and unfortunately eddie has almost hit his ceiling where as others haven’t

While I do think 20Million is not enough... we also should talk honestly about Nketiah. When ESR came on he was good and had an impact and clearly is a good player (some are even afraid he will do really good at Fulham). Nketiah always needs a run of games ( he barely impacts the game coming from the bench) and he is far from a proving goal scorer!? He had a Hattrick against Sheffield -the team with the worst defensive record in the history of the Prem- and a couple of goals aside. Misses chances, bad take on rate ( overestimates himself), bad at link up play, loses duels etc. Its not a coincidence that there aren`t too many premier league clubs in for him even though some of them need a striker. And on top of that: if you sell abroad you probably have to lower your price tag. Again to the ESR comparison: If you were told one of the two will do really great Nketiah at Marseille or ESR at Fulham and might be transferred to Liverpool or another big club in 1-3 years, for whom of the two would you vote?

Look at his goal celebration. Reproducing his scoring record at senior level is unlikely. Big chance it’s another waste of money at Manu.

3:13 that's not true. they haven't put anything into the club. they only taken out loans.

FT: Zinchenko, Partey and Nelson need offloading, they no longer offer anything to this team, the youth that came on in the second half had more fight in them. Id get whatever money we can for them now, give their time to Lewis-Skelly, Nwaneri and Vieira, bring in Moreno and keep Nketiah around and run with that until January.

Utd just doubled chido’s wages they’re paying him 30k a week literally doubled our offer
@11.--.112 ай бұрын
the problem with eddie is his wages

chido obviously doesn’t rate utd’s current strikers, hence the pathway 👀

Chelsea got more for their academy graduates without any premier league appearances or experience - we’d be an absolute joke selling Eddie for this sort of valuation.

U r all crazy. Eddi played about 5 games last year. U dont want him to play. But 20 mill is too little ? For what ? For a player u dont want and dont play ?
@Karlos89c22 ай бұрын
The fee for Eddie is low because he’s in 100k a week and he’s already shown the world he isn’t a top player, he’s barely good enough to be a premier league striker. ESR has a higher ceiling.

I hope ESR scores a hat trick against Arsenal Home and Away, show lego head what a mistake he has made. We need to upgrade our manager, Arteta is a failure, we will not win Premiership with him at helm. Emery would have been a better bet - it was a language thing for Unai. Thomas Frank could win Premiership with last season's squad. Frank would have played likes of ESR, Nelson, dropped Saka when misfiring! (which is often, he gets kick, goes missing)

Glad Josh Kronke has trimmed the bizarre Superman villain beard he once had. Every time I saw him all I could hear was, “kneel before Zod”….
