Them 60s and EARLY 70s, country GOLD. Great rendition of a Cjassic.

Yes!! The Nashville Sound era (Nov. 22, 1963 - Aug. 4, 1974) was the best time for Country Music. True country music died a little while after the Opry left the Ryman. It's like taking a patient off life support. The patient doesn't die instantly, but he does die. True country music died when the last few seconds of 1975 were gone.

@@tonyharden7159 good analogy of them ole times. Still some good works come out later, every decade an half seems it changed from late 50s on, as it continually changes, I listen to that era, 60s 70s for me the best In the Country style. Buck Owens, Mel Haggard, Freedie Hart, Willy Nelson, TomT. Hall, George Jones, Bobby Bear, Hank Snow, ect... pure country GOLD.

I thought that was the buckaroos. Buck Owens was also one of my favorite singers. So is John Cash.

@ Kade Berrier, I thought that Guitar Player looked a lot like the Late Great Don Rich, and then your comment confirms my thoughts.

I know it’s probably sacrilegious but I like this version better than Cash’s.
@BeingRomans829ed2 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. Johnny’s voice was perfect for what he did, but he didn’t have a voice like Charley. I consider the number one Country voice of all time to be Hank Williams with either Charley or Randy Travis running in second place. Probably have to give Charley the edge.

The backing band is certainly superior, just listen to that guitar solo. I might like this more than JC’s original. It adds a more casual listening experience that would be comfortable to listen to more frequently for me.

What's up with that logo being on the screen the whole time making the singers' heads all blurry in every video? Very annoying.

He was a violent orange head with strong citric and caustic oils on the surface, so you didn’t mess with him.
