Not only one of Country music’s best singers, but one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. I’ve been a fan since 1967, when I saw him for the first time. I got invited back to meet him and sat and talked with him about his music and baseball, the latter he brought up. He wanted to know if I was a fan. Heck of a nice guy.

When an entertainer steps out on a stage like this to perform---he or she better know what they are doing, or about to do. Old Charlie was a real pro here. no hesitation or any flaws at all. Such a heartfelt song--love this guy and his music, seems like I was hearing him since I was born, and I'm 72.

Charley Pride is an incredible singer. I love to hear him sing and I saw him in concert in Fresno,CA back in the 70's He was great. I took my Mother because she loved him and had EVERY album he ever made. Didn't matter to me what color he was, didn't matter to her either. I had a crush on the man and my husband was jealous! LOL But he liked him too.

I had the absolute privilege last night of meeting and singing next to a man who played with Charley Pride for 23 years. His name is Billy. I can't remember his last name right now but his guitar he played had Charley's signature on it and said "Keep Playing" on it. I sang 2 songs with this band in Texas. This other man next to me was named Jim Guest. He was apart of the original band for one Reba McIntyre back in 1973. I was on cloud nine singing next to these two great musicians last night

Where did this style of Country Music go to? Just wish that there could be a Music Station that played the oldies 24/7 in my city.
@judyjohnson28985 жыл бұрын
Amen to that. There used to be a station where I live that played a lot of Charley's music as well as other singers from that time and for some reason, they started playing this modern stuff they call country music . Like we don't have Enough stations playing playing the modern stuff. I mostly listen to my CD's or music that I have downloaded on my computer or MP3 player and I definitly have a lot of Charley's music. I love his music. Always have and always will.

@jeldrad Me too, i'm so fortunate to have been born in this era of the best music ever, the music now is just so BLAND an most of the lyrics are the samo samo taken from our great country stars of yesteryear an redone but most of the time it's predictable what the lyric are going to be before you hear them, there's hardly any talent left .
