Just another sign of just how boringly sanitized this remake is. No spice to mix things up and no sweetness to give any real appeal, and all the color is superficial and lacks flavor. It's like those buckets of "rainbow ice cream" where it's got all these colors, but the ice cream is not only just vanilla, but it's not even a good vanilla flavor either.

Hell, even calling Volition a "small indie dev team" feels like an insult to the indie gaming industry. At least, most indie dev are open to criticism, had decent experience in game making, and know what games they want to make for their fans. But Volition on the other hand, hires someone from Twitter, Reddit, and Discord not for their qualification for the most part but for the "diversity".

Yeah i pirated it and omg like i dont like just echoing what others say but it is legitimately that bad honestly probably worse, it's really hard to put into words how badly it plays without giving you a controller, the best way i can explain is like single player lag? So i played on pc with an xbox controller and the sensitivity for aiming was inconsistent so I'll turn right and it'll be super slow and if i stop moving and push that same direction again it could be super fast its like an input bug and that combined with guns having incredibly wide bullet spread and recoil means you are quite literally struggling the whole time Sorry for wall of text btw lmao just thought I'd mention my experience since you said you've not played it also before you ask if mouse and keyboard is any better the vertical and horizontal sensitivity are waaay too different and can't be changed so its equally as hard

I can't get over how awful the sound design is in this game. It's so blatantly obvious anytime anyone talks, or whenever there's any sound effect, that it hasn't been placed in the context of your environment; they just used raw samples without processing them.

Saints Row 2 is my most favorite game out there. I also enjoyed 1 and 3 as well to the point that I played them multiple times. The other games I played around twice just because of the characters. But this game took out anything remaining that it had of enjoyment, and is an obnoxious mess. I did 100% complete it just for the love of the series, but I can’t play this game again.

I made my own story with Saints Row. Ive played since the 1st and always made my character resemble me. So i just pretend its different chapters within the same characters life. In this one, i got shipped to the desert, so it still connects wih the unrelated SRs lol
