In Bob's book he said he gave Renee a chance to confess to getting a speeding ticket in his rental car. Then he threatened him on a plane or somewhere. I also remember Kevin Nash saying Bob was making stuff up when someone ran one of Bob's stories by him. Simon Dean/Nova also said all of the Indy promoters that worked with Bob hated him because of how miserable/hard to work with he was. (Bob didn't mention that in his book. Just that a few stuffed him or he did one shot deals with them.) There's two sides to every story, but something that is clear is Renee is actually happy in life and still wrestling/ fondly remembered, and Bob Holly is bitter and doing nothing now.

If he had smacked around legit tough guys or even tried I could at least think he'd have a go at anyone, which would still be lame but better than only the young and the smaller. When you hear all the recounted stories from the wrestlers who were in the WWE lockeroom of the Ruthless Agression era, there’s a really common theme to the kind of personality that Bob Holly and JBL had. Because the big name wrestlers who were over, they always seem to never have had any bad interactions with bob or Bradshaw, and say “oh he was nothing but friendly and respectful towards me”. Where as, any young talent who were mid card or lower, almost all of them will have a bad experience to speak of involving those two and the bullying that they endured. Bob Holly and JBL are the perfect example of being absolute pussies as grown men. Picking on those who they know that they can, but then bullying younger and usually smaller guys. Yes, Renee wasn’t smaller, but he was incredibly young. The Joey Styles story is such a beautiful story. But, at least JBL drew huge hit and therefore drew money as a hate-able heel world champion. As for Bob Holly. The guy’s peak was when he got on the juice, while he was off TV after his runs as Sparky Plug and as part of the Job Squad. (He was a complete jobber). Then he came out around late 1999, jacked from the roids, as Hardcore Holly. His only semi memorable run, as he got TV time mainly due to Crash Holly being charismatic and liked by the fans. Oh, and never forget that he did get to have a world title match at a PPV, all as a charity to him, because Lesnar broke his neck. If it was any young mid card or lower wrestler that had caused his broken neck, Holly would’ve relentlessly bullied that person to no end. But because it was a tippy top guy who could whoop his ass, Bob took it like the hillbilly bitch that he is and continued to lick Brock’s ass, even after the injury. Ok, rant over

At first I regretted clicking on this, but the Spanish to translate Japanese, that reminds me of when Ayako Hamada had to play translator between the Japanese and the Boricua.

Since most of Japanese wrestlers tour in Mexico, i would think they're most familiar to Spanish, it's probably easier that way.

Not really on topic to the video, but I watched Renee and Charlie wrestle each other in a house show in Australia in 2004/2005. I remember Renee getting some heel heat.

Hardcore Holly, a legend in his own mind. Jeff Jarrett never drew a dime either, but at least he was a nice guy. The wrestling world would be a lot better place with more Rene/Charlies and less JBL/Hollys.

Not really. The best the industry ever did was when it was full of guys who were drunken, drug addicted, roided assholes. It's full of nice guys who play video games now and the product stinks.

Bob Holly wasn't a "hardcore" wrestler, he was just a bully, kind of like JBL. Hardcore wrestlers both give and take bumps, they don't shoot on people just because they are green, that's not hardcore, that's being an asshole. Hardcore wrestlers also juice, I've never seen Bob Holly do a blade job in his entire career. Dusty Rhodes was a true hardcore wrestler (in the old school sense) as was Kevin Sullivan. Bob Holly was not Holly was basically his generation's version of Buzz Sawyer.

They should’ve let Rene beat Cena for the US title, Cena didn’t need the belt he was already a main eventer. Kurt Angle has always had an eye for talent, & that’s what Rene was.

Ever stop to think about the fact that Bob Holly is basically a giant nothing in the wrestling industry? No one is influenced by Bob Holly. No one ever watched a Bob Holly match and said, "I want to be like that guy." No one can name a great Bob Holly match. He influenced no one. He inspired no one. He did nothing except be a bully. I wonder if his bullying was because he realized he might as well have never been there. He's basically a fart in a wind storm. People will have stories of how bad it smelled, but no one will ever miss it, now that it's gone.

I used imitate the dance you used to do. And from they way you looked and worked it was obvious they didn't like it becosue I think they push who they want and who ever they can control easier. Cena was atleast to me the most boring and basic wrestler they ever pushed. Same old gene shorts and the baggy shirts. Which at the time white guys tryn to be black was a thing. Cena to me was a Eminem/ vanilla ice looking rapper / wrestler. And they captilized off the younger audience that was into that

he wanted an excuse eh? Well he got a totally legitimate one by doing Dupree a favor and Dupree being such a little weasel he got a ticket, didn’t tell him about it, didn’t pay it, and bob finds out after an arrest warrant. Bob is a bully… but it’s sad seeing little beta victims blaming Bob for this one.
