Hollywood fucked Charlie Kaufman when it came to releasing this film. It barely got any distribution when it opened and in turn did bad box office numbers which badly hurt Kaufman's career in the mainstream. However I feel Synecdoche, New York is a true masterpiece and a brilliant work of art. It is IMO the greatest film of the 21st century so far
