Here in the UK, we helped abolish slavery in the 19th century. We took 40% of our budget in 1833 to pay towards ending it. We finished paying for it in 2015. I think I've paid my due. These people never mention the white Europeans enslaved by the Romans or the Barbary Coast Pirates. Charlie Kirks point about the Jews was a sublime answer, especially in WWII.

Reparations makes absolutely zero sense. Where does that money come from? Sure as hell not from me since my ancestors weren't slave owners or even Americans. And not ever black person in America is a descendant of slaves, so it gets super tricky. Especially when families have been mixed and very few people could make the claim that they have a line on both sides directly to former slaves. Good luck with that genealogy. You don't get a check just because your are black unless I get a check because my ancestors were persecuted as well. In the end, we were all persecuted at some point, so it is a wash and we should just move on.

Not that this is an "answer", but how about comparing "blacks" that are present in the US today to those that are in Africa today? Those in the US today have much more finances (look at statistics of $/year earnings) and opportunities than those still in Africa. So, while slavery may not have been a God-honoring thing, those that are here in the US now have it better. The other question is - should people (or their relatives) that were not present in the US during the time of slavery be responsible for reparations? Many "white" people fled other nations to escape persecution well after slavery in the US was abolished.
