Bird plays many notes- not a single one can be removed or added. THIS IS PERFECTION! The undeniable PROOF of Parkers genius, REAL genius among the greatest of artists (Mozart, Michelangelo). His weak mortal vessel was overwhelmed by the responsibility of delivering that gift. I am grateful he endured such pain and lasted until he got his business done and said what had to be said. Bird LIVES!

@handsome-brute i know Frank Miller played on this album. Looks like a pick up orchestra. Probably New York. I knew him Frank in the 80e Principal cello for Chicago Symphony and was Toacaninis favorite in the NBC orchestra.

I so hate all these wannabe You Tubers who play Alto sax (not the be boppers), those that receive million of views and can barely play the melody (along with their fingers flying off the keys). Here is Charlie Parker, the BACH of be bop on the alto sax. He was THE INNOVATOR, the king, the one that inspired thousands upon thousands of other great saxophonists (John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, Vincent Herring, Lou Donaldson, Sonny Stitt, Phil Woods, Kenny Garrett,...........on and on and on! The album Charlie Parker with strings is a TRUE MASTERPIECE, in every sense of the word! He deserves billions of views!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Maybe you meant it without the preposition? So basically you’re speaking of the string arrangement, not the actual band playing jazz? Maybe you mean both?
