Какой же Дима красивый, изумительный, солнечный. Гениальный и очаровательный человек и Артист. Очень скучаем, любим, помним.

I love this video. It is the only one I have viewed that Dimitri speaks English. So handsome, intelligent, passionate and his lush voice speaks to my soul. Great loss to music arts. RIP

Prokofiev has been sadly neglected in the West. Some of his compositions are a bit too thorny for audiences who jump to the term "modern music" like an honorary 4 letter word. Dmitri mentioned his ballet Romeo and Juliet, which I discovered at age 10 in the Baryshnikov movie The Turning Point. That score would've been admired by Both Tchaikovsky And Rachmaninoff- very lush and romantic in depicting the love of the title characters. Not too long after I rented the VHS "Alexander Nevsky"--and absolute powerhouse both in Prokofiev's score and the legendary direction of Sergei Eisenstein. The Battle on the lake covered with ice- and then during the fighting...the ice on the lake starts to break apart. Terrifying! The score became available on CD in the 90s and I snatched it up! And yes, this is the first time I've heard Hvorostovsky speak English. Just one more dimension to an already overwhelming presence.

@TheDmitrilover i subscribed to metplayer a few months ago, there is nothing, but i will check it one more time. there is only Onegin and Queen of Spades, as video, and then Don Carlo, Traviata, Queen of SPades, Faust , Trovatore , maybe something more, i dont remember, as audio. but not war and peace, but i will look there again.

@TheDmitrilover i dont speak about hair. i speak of Dmitri´s smiles or grins, expressions of face. hair could be changed, but his smiles , these constantly remind me of Rickman. the expressive eyes, mouth as well.

@Ettoredipugnar it is something else. you can find info on the Metropolitan opera web. you for example pay 15 USD a month and can (without limits) watch (and listen to) the whole month to hundreds of videos and audios on a part of the MET web , called Metplayer.
