Sorry Socorro but no! Cheryl Ladd and Farrah Fawcett were never friends. Farrah was never interested in befriending Cheryl. They were sisters on Charlie's Angels. That's all. However, Farrah, Kate Jackson and Jaclyn Smith had great chemistry from the get-go and became best of friends.

That aside can't be denied Cheryl 's strong presence in the show (no matter how real or not was the issue of her and Kate not getting along). One of my favorite series when I was a kid! I grew up when the tv started showing the orginal Charlien's angels series! I really liked Farrah Fawcette's hairstyle! My favorite angel at the time was the beautiful Kelly Garrett real name Jaclyn Smith! But now I admire and like them all! I love Charlien's angels always and forever! It would be great to see the whole show as orginal once again on TV!

Kate, Farrah and Jaclyn were best friends and when Farrah left that was very tough on them. But they stayed good friends. There are two documentaries when Kate talks about Farrah coming back and she says: "I loved it when she came back! It was like old times." In an interview Farrah also says it was like old times. She talks about her first guest appearance and says: "Kate was very sweet, a very good friend of mine, I think helped me a lot. She came out about 6.15, ran into my dressing room, banged on the door "come out here", grabbed my hand, took me inside and introduced me to Cheryl." Kate did it because she knew it would be hard for Farrah to walk on the set after all this time.

You can even tell Kate didn’t like Cheryl in a interview she did with Mike Douglas on his talk show. He interviewed Kate first and then she said she had to leave. Then Mike interviewed Jaclyn & Cheryl together. There were problems already and it was just Cheryl first season. I’m not even sure Cheryl had aired yet. I don’t know if it was Cheryl in particular she didn’t like or if it had been anyone replacing Farrah such as Kim Basinger or any other actress. Until one of them writes a tell all we’ll never know for sure.

Part of the strength of the show was solid scripts and tight dialogue. There was a sense of movement both in tone and tenor. Sharp camera angles and crisp editing. Unlike most shows today that are more fluff than substance.

This was the first guest star appearance Farrah made as per the out of court settlement Farrah made with the shows creators. They sued her for quitting, she said she did NOT have a contract which she didn't but had a verbal agreement they claimed. Farrah agreed to return for 6 episode to be spread out the next couple of years when she could arrange it around her busy film career. At the time Farrah had a 3 picture deal.("Somebody killed her husband", "Sunburn" & "Saturn 3". Farrah's new "Charlie's angel salary was $250, 00.00. per episode. That figure was sealed untiled the show was out of production. Obviously the producers did not want anyone to know. Jacklyn Smith made $50,00.00 per episode as a series regular. Jacklyn Smith was the ONLY angel to stay with the "Charlie's angels" for it whole 5 year run. Despite leaving after season 1, Farrah Fawcett made more money from the show then all the only angels including Kate Jackson and Jacklyn Smith. The show also made her an international star and the most famous woman around the world. Farrah faced blacklash by the fan's however. All 3 of her post "Charlie's angel" films were commercial flops. It took several years before she redeemed herself with the strong performance in the television film "The burning bed" which was a ratings success and earned Fawcett an Emmy nomination. Several other strong performances after that and more Emmy nominations. Throughout her career she made millions from her name and famous image with a line of shampoo, Playboy layouts and even a short lived reality show.
