Oh man you are in for a real treat. They've got so many awesome songs. They are all good people and they have been through alot and still going through even heavier battles of life now. Pray for all of em. I've seen them play. They are awesome beautiful souls. Check him out with Brent Cobb and Adam hood. Think it was on southern rounds or something like that.

I've waited 40 years for a great southern rock band to arrive and 4 1/2 years ago I saw BBS on a DTV channel, I think it was called Applause. Kust caugjt the tail end of the last song and I was stoked! A few months later I learned that they were at the Truckers Jamboree at the I80 truck stop I was at work but I told my boss that I was sick, jumped on my bike and raved down the road about an hour or so and caught the last half of their show. Heaven brother! Young talented musicians jammin southern rock! Seen them 3 times since and am going to the hostoric Surf ballroom in April to catch my 5th show. LOVE IT!!!!!!!

Brother it's a small world! My cool ass Dad turned me on to them in 2011.Dude it was so refreshing to hear a band that were actually Signature.We went to Ziggy's about a hour drive from Kannapolis N.C. We paid 50 bucks a piece to be close to the stage in the ground area no seats it was a different totally friendly southern experience.2013 Whipperwhil tour .We very well were at the same concert.My Dad passed away in 2020 but I have that show and there music as a connection to my Dad's memory.Fellow Brother damn good reading this.Lets watch 2024 go up in smoke!!

I remember the first time I saw these guys, was on direct tv a show they did at an open air festival outdoors somewhere. I was immediately hooked and had to know more about them. Couldn’t find a damn thing more but followed them as more came out over the years. Finally they did a tour with Govt Mule and played red rocks. That’s where I finally saw them live for the first time. Awesome band, great music and the hippies are cool as can be. This is the band I always wanted to be in.

I love Blackberry Smoke. I have seen them twice in Houston. The both times they put on a great show. The first time the crowd was small, but they just still put in the full effort. The second time this year was a packed house and they even played harder. I got to meet the whole band at the meet and greet, they took the time to make every person there feel important to them. This was a great interview. They are just a solid band and thank God that the timing was right and they all came together. Ain't Much Left Of Me was my anthem, such a great song. Great song writing, great playing, great people.

Fantastic interview! Charlie and the whole band are the best musicians and entertainers out there today. Terrific human beings to boot! These guys have been my family’s official band for years now. All my 15 year old son knows is BBS concerts. My son plays the drums, and Brit is a big inspiration. God bless Brit Turner. So sorry for your loss Charlie. Brit was such a class act! Never forget when we were in the eighth row at show at the State Theatre in Kalamazoo Michigan several years back. Brit must have noticed my then 9 year old son standing on his seat, singing the words to every song. At the end of the show, Brit walked to the edge of the stage, handed the setlist to another fan, and pointed to my son. He still has that setlist and he never forgot that simple act on Brit’s part.

Charlie Starr is a Class act. Saw him and the band Blackberry Smoke in Hiawasse, Georgia 2 weeks ago. The whole audience didn’t sit down 1:18:06 until after the 7th song.. "One 1:18:06 Horse Town", "Ain't much left of me"..Excellent band and Show.👍🐾🎸✝️☮️🇺🇸

I moved to NM from ATL in 2011. worked at a bar in Santa Fe known for live music. The first time I heard "I Can Feel a Good One Comin' On" was ironically - a cover band from Espanola called "Reckless". Been a fan ever since.

My Dad turned me on to Smoke in 2011 gotta say the first time I got really excited in a band since the 90s.2013 on the Whipperwhil tour we paid 50 bucks a piece to stand close to the band in the roped off ground area at Ziggy's a hour away from home.My Dad passed away in 2020 but we had a great experience around friendly fans dude it felt like home and the music will always be a connection I'll have in my Dad's memory who was a pretty good guitar player himself something else he turned me on to.Love you Dad and Brother I wish you good times and a great life!

great interview. but Charlie has to know the comments about racism around 38:25 can be troubling. If you're outside of the group that's affected by something, you have to listen more than you speak. that goes for skin color, gender, ability status, etc. we can't say something doesn't exist in our town just because we don't see it
