One of Nashville's most respected and beloved artists, Charlie Worsham released his EP, Sugarcane, in 2021 via Warner Music Nashville. Produced by Jay Joyce, Sugarcane is an emotional homecoming for Worsham. What began as personal reflections from a daily writing exercise grew into six songs that celebrate the love, perseverance and struggles experienced through life. I couldn't relate more to the song, especially when the bridge said as if someone's there looking out for me, and it surely hit me with the feeling as if my mom was just here yesterday, including this one bike I had, it used to be hanging around in my living room and I didn't get to keep it for long after she passed away and got busy with college life. It was one of the best (if not the greatest) gift I had as a highschool kid. But knowing how my mom had a very close relationship with God also gave me a lesson that no matter the problems I have, God is a buddy in desperate times. Hence also the reason why the hymn "What a friend we have in Jesus" exists in the first place. I really thank you a lot for this song, Charlie. It means a lot to me. 🙏

Would yall believe Charlie here has been this talented since he was young? He was playing the banjo as a young boy.. he’s always been talented. Charlie is just the best. An amazing in demand studio musician, singer, songwriter, and all around nice dude. It's been nice seeing him as a member of Dierks' band as well. I've followed Charlie since Rubberband. I loved this song on that album but this duet makes it really special. I do hope they release it to radio and that radio plays it. Been a UK fan since seeing you way back on Bones and was lucky to catch you play at the Thekla in Bristol, honestly one of the best live acts I've ever heard so went to see you supporting WT on their recent Uk tour too. I have followed ole Charlie for a very long time... love everything hes ever done. Love his singing, ( a very UNDERRATED singer ) his musical abilities and arrangements ( can pretty much play any instrument, he looks at.. idk , like a half hearted attempt at one song either... take a listen to some of his banjo picking, sometime ) and his all around knowledge of music, in general. The mans a walking encyclopedia, when it comes to music, but mainly country... i love to listen to him talk about the history of guitars and the like, but rather listen to him play lol. When he plays guitar, he reminds me of Vince Gill, in that he plays it like its made of air, or something lol. Gotta appreciate that level of talent.. as talented as the man is, hes even more humble and as good a fellow as you'd ever want to meet... super nice guy !!!
