I totally respect the fact that you take your time to try to teach these lads how to do things proper. Cheers, mate! 👍🏻👍🏻

Love your work and your videos Charlie, any chance you could make a playlist of all the videos you have made laying on this build. The layout seems interesting and I'd like to follow along during this entire build, thanks for the entertainment and god bless. (Also what ratio is that mortar and what does it consist of and also also thanks to you Amy for your editing work)

Nice to have you back Charlie. I’ve gone back into trade 5 months back and cannot get on the trowel consistently. Seems no one wants to give people a chance or lack of hod carriers

That's how it is when you're the new guy especially if the others are more experienced until your boss hires another laborer you know that's how it's gonna be your not gonna gain any seniority hopping from crew to crew

I packed it up because of that after a year. Ended just using us as cheap labour
@wallogator113 ай бұрын
@@richardstetson8221 seems to be a problem getting labourers nowadays. Pretty sure they’ll be a shortage of brickys too if not Giving chance to use the trowel Often

@@wallogator11 wanna pay you as a brick improver for £100 a day, but will use you as labour. So they don’t have to pay £150 a day. But you can do both so money never make sense. Most brickys take the piss

Charlie do ever think you may get fed up with being a brickie? I did an apprenticeship as an Armature Winder (electric motors) when I finished my time 6 years in total I was told I was one of the best they had but they refused to give me the rate. So I moved to another company doing electric tools repairs (Bosch) I never touched another motor. I ended up with Xerox for 38 years retrained several times and enjoyed every moment.
