Another brilliant lesson with a ton of takeaways to get anyone out of that dreaded rut that most of us know all to well at one time or another. Thanks yet again.

Really appreciate your honesty and your “lightbulb moment” content. “You don’t know what you think you know” has become my new mantra. The amount of repetitions it takes to get something so granular it’s second nature is far beyond what I thought it was. I read somewhere an Olympic coach said the difference between those who succeed and those who don’t is simple: the ones who succeed never get bored with repetition. Absolutely love the triad pairs as replacement for scales. Blew my mind when I worked it out and it cures the scale-sound of so many licks. I’ll be drilling those now. Thank you!

@@doncalame2732 what a great comment. And it’s not just repetition - it’s mindful repetition that leads to mastery and discovery. All the best with your playing!!! 🎸🎶🔥🎶🎸

Also, it occurred to me watching this; your points are valid, however, the lugheads like me that watch this have nothing to anchor this seemingly valuable information to. So it washes over our heads. Lack of foundation?
