Konami, Capcom, Nintendo just to name the big ones almost only composed hits for their games. Famous Orchestras still play the sound tracks. Can't be that bad.

I’m a Japanese person who actually played Street Fighter II. The guitar is incredibly cool! Especially the intro for Guile's stage-it really gives a sense that a battle is about to begin. It reminds me of my own gameplay back in 1991.😎🇯🇵

Amen, brother. I became aware, much later in life, that Ken's theme is very similar to Cheap Trick's "Mighty Wings". Gloryhammer has covered it in recent years too. Apparently the Street Fighter II composer acknowledged that he had watched Top Gun during the time when he composed the song.
