Update to this video: Shortly after I started recording the NEXT video, the fuel bug was patched. Won't be an issue for long. I coped with it anyways. Have a great day!

Oh also, you were mentioning not sure how to estimate the fuel. That was added in the game as well with the Monday patch, each route now shows how many minutes so that helps.

in order to get better star rating you can also increase food and drink quality by using a little more provisions when you click on the Diner and Bar Settings this is separate from upgrading the room star level

I don't think the rooms listed at each port indicates their demands, it's just the rooms available to buy. Restaurants and diners have high demand on any route. Storage routes may be a bit buggy. If they don't completely pass the room they may not maintain it. One thing I've found is the left/right rooms, if they don't pass the bed specifically they won't maintain it. Also they don't always maintain rooms if the route only has so many selected, I've opted to do every other room and specifically the furthest west/east rooms. Diners and such they'll maintain themselves, but not true on all buildings, like pools. Also it definitely would be helpful if they cleaned/ repaired sooner, before it's too late, like maybe at orange. I just realized from your vid that upgrading rooms, cabins specifically. The star level is how high you'll want your janitors average level to be. I assign my janitors last and they end up being the lowest skill. I've already noticed the star level for diners and such means your staff should be at that level as well, but until now I didn't put two and two together about cabins and janitors skills...I've been upgrading cabins a lot and it's getting harder to maintain them via storage routes. I have to repair and clean quite a few of them at port.

Only thing I can think of is there are more electrical items running in the room hence taxing the electric production

In RL, if you replace a worker, they don't leave until you get there. This game needs to do that

I think that you should try to save up for a bigger ship since the one that you currently have is restricting what you are able to do. Not enough space to add the things that you want to add unless you remove some of the rooms in order to fit them in. Or you could see what would happen if you made your current boat into a VIP ship with fewer rooms and maybe be able to add more services. Not quite sure what effect that would have on your bottom line... Really enjoying this series so far. Keep up the great work! 😁

i think maybe the increase of fuel consumption for upgraded room is because the better rooms have bigger TV and stuff so they need more electrical power.

My thought is instead of buying the storage room, it may be more efficient both space-wise and economically to just add more crew cabins in the same space. Makes it easier to micromanage your crew and up your ratings

Also your missing out on the like of all inclusive/VIP ticket which you can charge more for example your rooms at the top of the boat you could set to VIP and have them upgraded

I'm not sure on this one really. You can charge more per ticket, but then you don't get any in-route money. VIP's in early game possibly not worth it cause they have demands that may not be able to fulfil which may push your happiness down. Shorter routes all-inclusive is probably better, but longer routes maybe not so much.

in Athens how is the price of fuel calculated ? you bought 10000 units of fuel, the price stated was $0.08 per unit so the fuel should have cost you $800, but in fact it cost you $1200. Otherwise it looks a pretty good game.

You’ll find a lot of that is going on. It has to do with the mode I’m in (hard). A lot of the displayed prices aren’t updated, but are still charging me 50% more anyways.

Kinda feel it would have better not to play in hard mode. Seems to be balanced for normal.
