I think Daryl Coleys’ vocals are unmatched across any genre of music. Just my humble opinion. He is my no.1 favorite vocalist of all time, next to Donny Hathaway, Bettye Ransom Nelson, James Moore, John P. Kee, Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, and Luciano Pavoratti. He is a G.O.A.T!! I feel like he didn’t get the recognition he deserved while he was living. You should definitely have a listen to his rendition of ‘Even Me.’ His vocals on that one is insane!!!!

Hey, Charlie. Your buddy Diego here from Texas. The gentleman who introduced Daryl Coley is actually my old pastor Bishop Carlton Pearson. I grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and attended Higher Dimensions Church where Pearson pastored. He also hosted the annual Azusa conference there in Tulsa, which was named after the original Azusa Street Revival that took place in the early 20th century in Southern California. Check Wikipedia. Many live albums were produced during the conference years, and they featured names in gospel that you would know, including Karen Clark-Sheard, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Shirley Caesar, Daryl Coley, etc. Interesting sidebar: Bishop Carlton was a protege of the 20th century healing Evangelist Oral Roberts.

Pastor Carlton Pearson is also a gospel singer and preacher who started a major televised production/revival in the 90s called Azusa Live. He would have the top gospel singers and preachers on. He also in the last 10 years is known for his epiphany of a non existence of hell. Darryl Coley voice is so anointed he music always uplifts me... He is the GOAT!

The Bayarea's Own (RIP) Daryl sang just as good as he doing on this recording when we were just kids and he was directing the choir. He was no joke!!! You better get that note(LOL) i CAN REMEBER SO VIVDLY of him singing in testimony service(leading the service) and going all up and down the musical vocal ladder and folks falling out and shouting all in the church....he would just demolish the service!!!!!! I recently started watching your channel and it has tremendously blessed me. This Daryl Coley song I needed to hear because of certain challenges. I love the African singers Wow I play those songs over and over and feel the presence of the Lord. The man who introduced Daryl Coley was Carlton Pearson who died recently. He lost his church members and was removed from Clergy Leadership Organizations for teaching everybody is going to heaven, no matter what the sin is, no repentance necessary and no hell exist. Called the Gospel of Inclusion.

The name of that guy is named Carlton Pearson. Back in the 90s he had a conference name Azusa. He became a heretic at one point and was outcast. Did a movie about him you should check out.

This recording does not do him any justice...I heard him sing at a midnight musical at GMWA and he was phenomenal. If you weren't crying, your jaw was on the floor. And then his adlibs... (SMH!!!!) He just started preaching and he could tell a story. And it was incomparable. The performance where he tells the story of the Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.... all in poetry and all scripturally accurate. Check it out "He's Right on TIme".

That's way too extreme a comparison. The term goat is extremely tenuous. Devil is not. In Matthew 25.33ff, Jesus tells the parable of the sheep and the goats, and the goats end up condemned with the Devil. The reason Jesus chose sheep and goats is that they are so similar. For the Passover Feast, a family could use either a young sheep or goat; they were interchangeable. The point of the parable is that the only difference between those saved and those condemned is that those saved took care of lowly believers, while those condemned didn’t. This is a very hard teaching. So, the Bible doesn’t consider goats to be evil. I would argue that people who have a problem with calling an incredible singer the goat are being entirely too sensitive. Intention matters too
