Finally, someone said what we've all been thinking-"Get the coach, I'll grab Charlotte"! That was absolutely hilarious! It made my day (which must mean I need to get a life). Thanks, Misstweet.

What a beautiful #Heybourne video! The quotes and music were paired so well together. They are such an incredible pair - hoping for a very HEA in S3. I enjoyed the quotes for Mary and Georgianna and the Lady Susan teaser. Thank you! 🥰

They are repeating series 1 in the UK from next week, after watching series 2 and this growing romance I am not sure I will go back and re watch, season 2 romance so much gentler, subtle,sweeter and bitter sweeter, still I suppose that's the difference between young love and true love

I rewatched S1 after seeing S2 and 3. It made me dislike Sidney less. Knowing that he was just a bump in the road not the one who broke Charlotte. The unhappy ending made more sense, after witnessing the more mature and sweeter love growing between 2 people who suffered.

I started this season with anger cuz nothing could beat Charlotte and Sidney for me. BUT then these two decided to totally shake me and i was dying for them to be endgame BUT BUT that season end..ughhh. you captured the thoughts in last scene perfectly 😂♥️

I didn’t think anyone could beat Sidney either, but man I was wrong! #Heyboune stole my heart! Looking back, I think I was angry with Sidlotte because it wasn’t finished… because as much as I was rooting for them they never captured me the way Heybourne has;)

Oh, my goodness!!! What a GREAT job of editing! Isn’t it stunning how #Heybourne has captured JA fans’ imaginations? After watching seasons 1 and 2 over again I realized some things: 1) Sidney could be really mean; 2) Captain Fraser is certainly a keeper; 3) any story line that ends with Alexander and Charlotte blissfully happy together makes me giddy; and, 4) Alexander Colbourne is the Finest of the Austen men. Period (at least, in my book☺️) More handsome (and trustworthy!) than Willoughby; has more integrity than Edward Ferrers; more dependable than Col. Brandon; has more wit than Mr. Knightley; has deeper feelings than Mr. Darcy (apologies to Colin Firth and Matthew MacFayden (although, in my opinion, that Pride & Prejudice doesn’t really count); more lovable than Frank Churchill; more genuine than Mr. Tilney. With Justin Young et al.‘s written character and Ben Lloyd-Hughes acting, Alexander Heybourne is the epitome of the JA man. And Charlotte Heywood becomes the woman we all wish we could be, being loved by such a man as he. I still think we should be gifted with #Sanditon3forChristmas!

It looks like the ending will be wonderful like all of Austen's works. A part of me hopes that they will make a movie about this one day where she ends up with Sydney. Since the novel was left unfinished it's a possibility it could have happened. And it would be interesting to see it from that perspective. But this has definitely turned into a great series.

Bon casting et very good job ! 😘👍

Do you think it was because he seemed reluctant to just say, never mind anyone or anything else I love you, I want you, if he had used I instead of we, do you think she might have listened till the end and it would have been a different ending. Ah well maybe all will be revealed in series 3

@Jean-wk7on2 жыл бұрын
@Malika Brahiti Non.

Malika I think it is an interesting observation, however although i agree in the beginning there is not the drama and fireworks there was with Sydney so we somehow see it as less, but remember Charlotte ( And Colbourne I suppose) is older and wiser, a little quieter and somewhat reluctant so we don't get the crash bang wallop out of breath we got in series 1, bonne soiree to you too

weird. The characters are less and less believable as the serial progresses. This is so NOT Jane Austen! This is a corrupt, stupid, fastidious completely cut off from any reality or historical reality version of what could have been an interesting version of JA opera. This is a version trying hard to fulfill the disgusting politically correct, the updated one, agenda promoted by the leftist Hollywood - which is: by no means there MUST be at least one black character in the movie (although there was no such thing during those times, except very, very rarely) with the usual anti-colonialist BS twist; the feminist crap yet again, in which somehow the main character who is a 23 years old girl ( which according with JA she is a sensible intelligent girl but no genius) is an expert in buildings (somehow), is an expert in liberal education of girls, is a horse tamer, is a profound psychologist but also a big charmer, a virginal one, who attracts always the attention of at least 2 desirable males etc. It is an updated version of Politically correct BS because we are introduced to the gender fluid Leo or Eleonor the girl of Mr. Colbourne... As if this politically correct agenda BS is not enough, in their desperation to capture somehow the audience, the scenarios and the directors are throwing desperately all the classic themes of love circulated in the novels written not only by Jane Austen but you could easily recognize Jane Eyre theme here - Mr. Colbourne is a bit of Mr. Darcy, a bit more even of Mr. Rochester from Jane Eyre; Col . Lennox is soo much Mr. Wickham; col. Fraser is well...a bit of Cyrano de Bergerac The problem with all this mumble jumble ragbag is that it lacks the originality of Jane Austen. JA's characters and situations strike through originality. For example the original idea of the movie _ a new city project Sandition is an excellent one - but that's because is JA's original idea; also in JA's work characters differ from one another to a high degree- Emma is a completely different character from Elisabeth and Elisabeth is a complete different character from Elionor from sense and sensibility, etc. Also the dynamics are different: Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth have one love dynamic while Emma and her Mr. Knightley and so on and so forth. The finesse of the characters, their originality etc is incomparable with the political correct BS masquerading as JA's characters . Disgusting!
@rachelos-ag2 жыл бұрын
You couldn’t put it more eloquently. They trying to insert our current liberal political feminist gender fluid toxic culture we live in to the time of JA. Agree how genius JA is for very unique story and character for each of her novels but all with same theme of searching for love.
