This lovely song is Irish, with Scottish roots. Charlotte is a WELSH lassie! As a highly skilled professional English violinist I sometimes try a couple of jigs or a reel at the Black Horse, Kilburn. She has (hopefully still does) a beautiful voice but she’s not the beautiful person you think she is. Everyone has flaws; some more than others. She was an 11 year old kid who had access to almost everything or anything in the material world that her fame would impart. I’ll let you guess how that went for her. Her fame almost destroyed her and her family apart. The entertainment industry corrupts regardless of age and it corrupts absolutely.

My late grandmother introduced me to Charlotte Church when I was a 7th Grade student at my former middle school. She was right about how beautiful her voice is when she sings songs aloud on the track listings of the albums that she released on audio CDs that were sold in music stores everywhere. It’s funny that we’re sopranos just like the family member I told you about in the comment boards.
