Deeply appreciate your real outlooks and vulnerability in struggles, it let's us observers know we are not alone in our own personal daily struggles as a homemaker and home educator. Forever learning to trust God, no matter the circumstances 🙏❤️

Love love love this! My mama heart of six kids in every stage needed this! ❤️ thank you so much for this!! It’s so nice hearing and be encouraged with mama’s who understand the priorities, different roles we have, struggles, balancing of all the things and using the same education method!! ❤️

I loved the comment about the 4-year-old wanting to narrate. That's so sweet! One of my sisters learned how to read when she was 2 by just watching my mom teach my two oldest sisters. It's surprising what kids can absorb by just observing.

I love the sibling conflict resolution comment...bc being home they can figure out how to get along. Great video 👍 it's great to see my 4 yr old wanting to narrate or try to remember more than my kindergartner lol. It's great to see them listen.

My thoughts about read alouds- My oddest (13) has decided that there are certain books the younger kids haven't gotten to hear so she reads to them, gathers them up in the evenings or afternoons when there is free time and chooses the book. Her siblings love it and beg her to read one more chapter. So that issue of the oldest getting to hear books the younger ones later missed out on has just resolved itself.

I adore Charlotte Mason philosophy but deeply struggle with narrations with my 7 kids. How could I possibly invite and cognitively handle the length of time for each child to narrate the reading effectively? What am I missing?

Hi Julie! Narration with several children can seem daunting however Charlotte trained teachers to utilize narration in schools with several children. It works well although does require some practice and tweaking. I'd love to have you read through our post concerning narration with multiple children: simplycharlottemason.com/blog/narration-multiple-children-narration-q-part-11/
