The houses are nicer but the crime is just as bad as anywhere. I'm a firefighter and paramedic here in Charlotte....Hidden Valley, Beatties Ford rd, and Griertown are the most well known areas but Grier heights has been gentrified now but back in the 90's early 2000's it was a warzone

Man any hoods in Charlotte you have just as great of a chance of getting your wig pushed back as you do in any city or town. It all depends on if your brave enough to talk shit to the wrong person. I wouldn't suggest it in Charlotte. You'll get your head smashed just as quick here as anywhere else. Keep your head on a swivel at all times everywhere you go....the minute you feel safe that's when you get hit...

One thing I have noticed about Charlotte that blew mind coming from NYC was the fact they have an Uptown which is like downtown Times Square area in NYC then in a 15 minute drive, there are farms. That shit blew my mind.My ex's brother lives there.I went to Betties Ford, Hidden Valley, South Tyrone Ave etc..It did not look that bad to me coming from Brownsville Brooklyn. We went to Carowinds and White Water Rapid Park...It did not feel that dangerous and it is the second money capital after Wall Street. It looks nice to rise a family.I went to the club Peter from The Real Wives Of Atlanta who owns and he was there that night. Now, that club looked a little sheisty though.

Or the ghetto of Round Lake, Waukegan, Zion, Maywood, Rockford, North Chicago, West Chicago, East Chicago...even though that isn't in Illinois. So many ghetto suburbs out here too. Even in Barrington, gangs come out from Chicago, rent an air BB. Shit pops off during a party, next thing you know 3 people are shot. Few years back, some gangs came out from Joliet to party in Barrington, one of them tried to take another car off the road. Dude in the other car, pulled out an AR-15 started unloading shoots, killing 2, the other one in serious condition. It's fucked up no matter where you go. Not to mention, more money, more drugs, more problems.

Charlotte changed a lot. Back in the 90s and 00s, Charlotte was a real hood town. Lots of drugs and guns came through, and brothers were gettin laid down left and right. I lived outside the city but I was a frequent visitor because of my job. If you want to get out of a rough hood but still be in a “hood”, go to Charlotte

For y’all who aren’t from Charlotte wouldn’t really know but in the past 10 years Charlotte hoods have been gentrified I promise so much of Charlotte has changed in the years for the good it doesn’t make sense like about 75% houses in my old neighborhood was section 8 now that percentage probably under 15%, the city really been looking better but the hoods are still dangerous even tho they don’t look like no Chicago trenches type shit I promise there’s nothing sweet about these places he’s showing other than it being gentrified

I moved here from Cleveland; a true shithole. Charlotte is a really nice city. The majority of Charlotte is inhabited by out of towners. The hood natives try really hard to ghettofy this city but the city just keeps improving and upgrading. As someone who travelled to UK and Ireland in Oct 2019, I can confirm that people there have no clue what they're talking about when it comes to the states. Not trying to be mean, but the media doesn't do us any favors in the international spotlight. Hell, come to think of it, the media is pure shyte most everywhere. It's no different than Heathrow, it's good people, doing what they can with what they have. Mostly, it's a psychology of "I'm going to get mine, even if it belongs to you, first." Honestly, as an anarchist libertarian, the democratic party here has sold a lot of these districts empty promises for decades. Cheers

I work in this area of town on a side street off Tuckaseegee. I have rode my bike to work a few times when my car was in the shop passing that spot @1:32. No problems really though I did have a guy tell me "your supposed to ride a bike not push it" and I was like. "I'm not trying to impress you......If I want to push this bike up this steep hill because I have a tendon in my leg that is irritating me....that's my business". Then at the bottom of this hill I had a lady blatantly pull right in front of me on Berryhill. Seemed pretty deliberate and w out a care for my safety. Guy who works at that coffeeshop (Enderly) wouldn't tell me the name of the rap artist he was listening to....and I was like...."well I was just making conversation....personally I make my own music......because I play several instruments. Wasn't trying to "steal" your culture!" LOL. Charlotte is full of blind hating cowards and even more so in the upper crust areas!!! I'm from Mass....maybe its a southern thing. I don't step out of the house thinking...Hmmm who can I hate on today! Who can I blame for that "splinter" I got in my finger when I was 8. Read a fucken book every now and then!!! All that time you spend doing whatever it is you people are doing w your phones......you could be reading a book about how this country used to be the driving industrial nation on the planet and the businesses that brought jobs to this area came from up North. Or here's an author I would suggest......Johnathan Kellerman...all his books are good. Have a nice fucken day.....!
