I would disagree about the food. Charlotte has tons of diverse cuisine options and has come a long way over the past 10-15 years with variety. It has a lot to do with the many different people moving here. So yes if you compare us to NYC, Boston, DC, Atlanta, or LA yes we don’t have as many options . Let’s not forget though, Charlotte is not as big as those places 😉 I have tried these cuisines in Charlotte: Greek, Italian, Turkish, German, French, Jordanian, Palestinian, Lebanese, Spanish, Bosnian, Serbian, Polish, Croatian, Russian, Ukranian, Georgian, Armenian, Iranian, Indian, Nepali, Malaysian, Vietnamese, Laotian, Thai, Philippino, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Mexican, Puerto Rican, Dominican, Cuban, Peruvian, Ecuadorean, Brazilian, Colombian, Argentinian, Salvadorean, Honduran, Jamaican, Nigerian, Ethiopian, Egyptian, and even Moroccan. Also, for those who aren’t familiar, Charlotte has the biggest Buffalo diaspora outside of Buffalo NY. There are several restaurants that serve Beef on Weck, Buffalo wings and Buffalo style pizza that had the mini curl pepperonis. There are also tons of NYC owned pizzerias, also Chicagoan owned spots with deep dish, Deteoit style pizza spot, a Cleveland pizzeria in East Charlotte, NY and New Jersey style Greek diners , New Orleanian Cajun spots, Maryland blue crab spot, I could go on and on. There is something for everyone.

Thank you for watching and coming to comment and giving great examples of delicious food. Yes i think every other person here is from Buffalo or Long Island lol. What is your favorite Tai place. The Greek diners were some of my favorite growing up.

As Charlotte is becoming increasingly popular which in turn the rising cost of living with the unfortunately low paying jobs it is still the most balanced as all around quality of life its always been my home and when I took the wife to visit she fell in love so much she wants us to move there 😅 we going back in April for our anniversary and making plans for a move there because where we at now is just terrible

What about the affordability of good healthcare?
@EverythinglivinginCharlotteNC6 ай бұрын
This is a concern across the country, the cost of Health insurance is nuts. There are excellent facilities all over the city plus your never to far from major medical centers or just easy pop in and out facility's like the urgent care facilities that are scattered around the region. As far as just a pure cost perspective I'm not 100% sure some of it may be relative.

Hi. Your video is very interesting, I see that today it is 17 degrees Celsius there, while here in São Paulo we are at 27 degrees. I believe that the issue of insects is not something that important to me, a resident of a tropical country who is used to it. But I have doubts about how hospitals work, is it necessary to have specific insurance? Thanks for the information in advance!!
@EverythinglivinginCharlotteNC Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching and coming to ask questions. Insurance and hospitals can be a long answer I’ll do my best in the space here. There is not an exact insurance you have to have to be seen. Major medical will not turn you away in the event of an emergency situation car wreck for example. Google the ACA “affordable care act” for more information. The hospitals here are top notch. For more details email me or we can schedule a zoom! I look forward to hearing from you

The allergies are a real thing... I grew up in Charlotte and it only bothers me about one week a year... just the sheer amount of pollen. However, there is a zone that runs through NC, Tennessee, and Missouri. It is far enough North for northern plants to grow and far enough South for southern plants to grow so that wherever you move from you will have allergies if you are prone to them... including from plants whose pollen you have never encountered before.

Everyone’s situation is different. If you move to a walkable area maybe you can move without one. There’s to many unknown variables to just say yes or no.

@@EverythinglivinginCharlotteNC wow appreciate the quick response - was not expecting that. I’m moving to Charlotte in early January and am looking forward to the proximity to the ocean, mountains, and lakes, as well as milder seasons, southern food and hospitality, professional sports, and family nearby in other states (Virginia, Florida). Coming from Washington State (eastern border), I’m excited to get away from the crazy snow and dry, hot summers, and have access to pro sports teams, as well as the OCEAN! Love the mountains and am glad I won’t have to fully leave them, but I want the option of ocean and mountains. Southern food and lifestyle also just sounds great to me. The northwest is great for the mountains but that’s about it…not the weather or cost of living or food…lol. I can’t wait to get out of my hometown and get a bit of everything in Charlotte, seems like a great place!!

I'm glad your exited to come to the Charlotte area the mountains here don't quite have the impressive sheer rock faces that the west coast has but they get the job done for wanting mountains :) If i can ever answerer any more questions for you let me know. @@ratmoneyg

Thank you for watching and coming to the comment section. Charlotte like any city has neighborhoods and sections and areas that are not as desirable for sure i don't think anyone would argue that. I really think a larger portion of the city is more desirable than is less desirable. This could also depend on what it is being compared to. If you ever want or need more information please reach out i would be happy to talk to you.
