It’s so interesting that Charlotte Tilbury makes foundations for darker skin tones but her eyeshadow palettes are consistently formulated as if we don’t exist. I’m “not that far” (Macau in Nars) but only one of the shades in this palette would really be a deepening shade for me

I wish I could hit thumbs up more than once! I LOVE that you do multiple eye looks from each palette! It is so useful to potential buyers and sets you apart from other channels. I’ve noticed if I don’t set the primer the shadows will crease. I wore Natasha Denona Metropolis to work last week with the primer not set and it creased so bad but when I set it that doesn’t happen. Do you think setting the primer would decrease the longevity of the Charlotte Tilbury? I also tried different primers, Mac painterly paint pot and the Too Faced concealer and got the same result with it not set 😞

Now...a little rant which has nothing to do with you: In my honest opinion, the "FOMO marketing strategy" used so often by Charlotte Tilbury, has become predatory and disrespectful in nature to her customers. i think this palette’s formula is more refined than the icon palette. so although it‘s softer in range, i chose it over icon for the formula. those extra sparkly topper shades in the seduce glow also sold me on it :). i wasn’t interested until i saw CT’s holiday collection in person. then i was a goner 😂 It’s my first time purchasing CT and i have most of her holiday collection this year lol. still helpful seeing your reviews on products i already enjoy!

Alicia, you bring everything out! I feel so differently about this palette since I have seen this demo and review. I too, like others, was not going to purchase because the palette does not look that exciting online. However, the swatches and the eye looks take it to the next level. I have been eyeing the new lipsticks on the CT website, so now, I will check out the palette. I also have heard good things about the eyes to mesmerize. ...my favorite enabler is back. Missed you.

Revisiting in January 2020, as I just received this palette in my XL Lucky Bag ~~ so thankful for your archive of beautiful in depth reviews and demos Alicia! You are a treasure trove of knowledge, skills and wit! I come back repeatedly for ND and PM palette reviews and tutorials. P.S. bonus was your use and naming of which Rephr brushes you were using, I Kickstarted with them and got the whole kit and kaboodle ~~ plus the magnificent prototype bronzer/powder brush 22 ~~ it sheds a tiny bit, but is truly lovely.
