For the second one, in a video she explained her rules. The whole "bridesmaids are all 🌈" thing is just that all the bridesmaids she picked just so happened to be part of the lgbtq+ community. So less of a rule than just a coincidence. The one about her mom having say over everything, her mom had thrown her parties in hee past so she knows that she has good taste and can handle everything so instead of being stressed on the wedding say shes pretty much letting her mom have control over decorations and such so she can just relax and get ready instead of worrying about every little detail. For the open bar, she wants people to take advantage of it since they are paying a lot for it. But then she also wants them to be responsible so she got permission from the venue for people to leave their cars there over night so no one drinks and drives. The way she worded some of the rules makes them seem weird without context but honestly all her rules are 100% understandable and not at all out there. They are all pretty tame in terms of weddings honestly.

I seriously don't understand the type of brides/grooms that refuse to let the staff have any food breaks or anything. Like they are going to be there for HOURS and you won't let them eat anything or have breaks? Especially the ones where they wont even let them eat food that they bring 😫 pretty much all jobs are required to give lunch breaks, it should be no different for the staff at weddings 🙄

True, true, true. My older brother had his second wedding and I got to be a groomsman. I had to pay for my own stuff, and it was expensive. Luckily I'd saved up enough to be there. I didn't get to be in his first wedding because of his ex-wife, but I still don't have the specifics on that.
@thatgirl_tab2 жыл бұрын
The wedding rules are all extremely reasonable. I'm thinking that the bridesmaids are all gay was more just to let people know so there aren't any issues not like an actual requirement. At least I hope because that's a weird one but to each their own. It's not like it's a rule that is harmful, mean, rude, etc to anyone. I actually really liked some of the rules. Like the encouragement to get drunk but a reminder not to drive and to treat the vendors as guests. My brother and sister in law don't make a ton of money but they're very good about saving money. They were able to pay for a nice wedding and reception but the seating was very limited (80 max). Both sides have very large families that live within a couple hours driving distance (100+ each) and they're close to the majority. You can image how hard it was to try and pick who could come. My cousin told her mom (who no one is close to for a ton of reasons I won't list) the wedding details. Her mom and husband then decide to show up not even dressed appropriately. Thankfully one couple had an emergency and they took their seats instead. All I know is that she was lucky that my sil decided to just let it go instead of having drama because I was about to flip my shit on them. Weddings are expensive and everything is planned out to the t. Extra seats are not a thing. Extra food is typically not a thing. It's also down right rude. I would say people need to be more respectful about this fact but obviously the people who just show up have no respect for anyone.

At my wedding, 20 years ago (and still married with 4 kids), everyone could come to the ceremony and the party, it's only for the food that we had a limit, because we are not rich and food can get expensive. But church and venue were the same price regardless of number of people. We had people come only to the ceremony and some who had to work and arrived only for the party after the supper. Supper was only for families and friends and close people from our churches, and even then we had over 100 people (it's what happens when you have large families).

I usually don't disagree with Charlotte, but that second last one? I totally disagree. The MOH made a big deal over the anniversary of her *meeting* her boyfriend, not being together, or her boyfriend's birthday, but the anniversary of when they met. The MOH blew things out of proportion, and not only that, but lied to other people and tried to make it a bigger deal. The bride said "the wedding can either be this day that has no significant meaning to me, or it could be on my brother's birthday, which would make him feel like he doesn't matter to me" so the bride chose the less significant day. The MOH said "that's the anniversary of when I met my boyfriend, how could you be so inconsiderate?!?!!!??? I need time away from you!!!!!11!!!!!" So, yeah. The MOH is in the wrong.

Agree. Meeting a boyfriend isn't as significant as a family members birthday. Also, the MOH tried using the "I'm disappointed in you" tactic to try and see if the bride will change the date. Bride did nothing wrong. And personally, if someone I thought a friend acted that way about my wedding date, I'd tell them that if it upset them so much that they could just not attend. That although to her (the MOH)meeting her bf is significant, that it did not hold more then her (dride) brothers bday. And that of the 2 dates she had to choose from she chose the one that fit best.

I was actually surprised at your second- last ruling. I mean, someone having a wedding on the same date as a friend's anniversary with her boyfriend seems like no big deal to me. Is that just me? They could basically enjoy a free party on their anniversary, the bride could give them a cute shout-out in the speeches to acknowledge the shared special day. The friend being upset with it reminds me of a really manipulative friend I once had in high school who would freak at her friends and boyfriend not upholding the random days she decided were important (ex- threatening to break up with her boyfriend because he didn't get her a gift for their half year anniversary, when they had been together for three years and never celebrated it in the past). Those freak- outs were always secretly code for her being mad that we didn't let her control some unrelated part of our life, and she wanted to make us pay. Maybe context is important here...like maybe the friend already had other anniversary plans or just is one of those people for whom anniversaries are a big deal, or doesn't have that manipulative history. But it sounds like an emotionally manipulative friend to me, and I bet there's more to this story. I'm actually hoping the bride took the easy out from that friendship. (Edit- I had said last ruling, but meant second-last)

I can't believe it, but I finally disagree with your analysis on a story!!! The last story where the bridesmaid throws a fit because the bride scheduled the wedding on the "two year anniversary of when the bridesmaid MET her boyfriend". Sorry, you don't need time to "process" that, especially when you tell another bridesmaid "what [the bride] DID TO YOU". She did nothing "to you". She scheduled the wedding for a day that is LITERALLY just a day in everyone else's life, and bridesmaid goes all bridezilla over it. "It's MY DAY!" because she MET HER BF on that day. I've been married 25 years, I love my wife dearly. Neither she nor I give half a flying fig about what day we MET. I cannot even tell you what day it was (I do know her birthday, our anniversary and even the day I proposed). But bridesmaid is in the wrong, bride is just worried about her friend who flipped the hell out over nothing.
@potocatepetl2 жыл бұрын
Yaeah, I agree. The date has nothing to do with her and her anniversary. The bride has to find a date that works for her, her husband and their families. There are more than enough people she has to take into consideration. Thinking of the date her bridesmaid met her partner was the last thing on the bride's list for sure... She could chose not to attend if her anniversary is so important, but there is no reason to become dramatic.

I had a photographer for the main wedding photos. I also had disposable cameras on each table for guest to take pictures of their own experience. To catch moments the photographer might not see. However, the kids immediately grabbed ALL of 13 cameras. They proceeded to take pics of nothing, them pissing on everything, & other vulgar events. They ran around the dance floor so much that guests stopped dancing. They also trashed a lot of decor & food. I didn't realize what all they had done. Until I paid for photos. The cost of the cameras & the awful pic development was about $350. I was embarrassed when realized that the boys had gone all over my gorgeous venue to piss on stiff. @@indigoeye3874 Wedding meals in my country involve 4-5 courses - wedding cake not included - all served at the table and most of them made with ingredients childrens don’t like, eat or even know. Between that, the 1h+ long ceremony, the wedding church photos, the wait between each dish and the fact there aren’t many if any other kids to play with, children are bound to get bored no matter the food. I was trying to understand the friend's OTT reaction to the wedding falling on her 2 year anniversary, and the only thing I could come up with that was even *close* to making sense(!) was that maybe she was expecting her boyfriend to propose to her on that date or something, and feels the bride-to-be "should" have somehow known that, whether explicitly or just through inference (though my money would be on the latter!) - like, perhaps it was something that had happened in their family or friendship circle, or how it had always been this big romantic dream of hers, that she may or may not have actually confided? But whatever the exact reasoning behind her fit of pique, it's probably safe to say that it's the good ol' green-eyed monster behind it all - that she's jealous it's not *her* getting married, especially if the happy couple haven't been together for as long... what do you guys think?

The ‘vegan option’ was literally just garnish with balsamic… kinda cracking up with that one.

That dog had to be the happiest one at the wedding (maybe even more than the bride and groom)

For our wedding, my husband and I washed each other's feet instead of a unity ceremony. It is a representation of how we choose to serve each other like how Jesus washed the disciples' feet. Kind of different, but as a wedding photographer, I've seen it done a few times. One time the couple had an antique pitcher & bowl- someone forgot to fill the pitcher, so they just went through the actions and laughed the whole time.

The "Unity Milk" got me... I looked it up and it's really not as weird as it sounds. During the "unity" portion of most ceremonies, like where the bride and groom have vessels of wine and pour both into a glass to drink from... that one couple just has a strong brand loyalty for a favourite dairy farm local to their town. Super sweet.

Unity milk! When you do a round of musical cow milking (like musical chairs) and when the cows are milked dry, the bride and groom chug said milk and once done, they do the Macarena and yell "UNITY!" Note : I have no idea what "unity milk" is so dont take seriously 🤣

I googled "unity milk" in the hopes of finding out what it is, exactly. I found the bride's explanation, which didn't fully explain it, but she basically said it was like "unity sand," where the couple pours different colored sands into a jar together to symbolize their union. She and her groom had poured two different milks together... and drank it, I guess? I actually like your version better.

I laughed thinking unity milk is what you will have from now on if you both drink from the container. A unity of germs through marriage! And if it is like the unity sand......I could only think of my friend that did that and her divorce 3 years later....I think they should have to separate the colored sand bits to be able to divorce. Apparently they knew on their wedding day that they shouldn't have gotten married. What was the big unity if it wasn't so important?!?!
@ajjamsen6942 жыл бұрын
@@user-jy3zl2vp4b yoooo, for real? I think they should have to separate all the colored sand BEFORE getting married, that way you know its gonna take a minute to give them time to think it through cause so many people reeeeeeeally need to minute to realize "wait...this person sucks huge donkey balls..." and dip the hell out

8:23 The one that says no kids at the wedding..... the friend/guest was not bringing "kids". Her children were 18 and 23. They are adults not kids. However, taking a DOG to the wedding is completely out of line so either way she's wrong for that alone!

@MashuTora2 жыл бұрын
It did mention grandkids, too. Still, I imagine that because of the party count, kids was meant to imply anyone that you have given birth to as well as underaged actual kids. I don't think it's that unreasonable, especially if it's something that was pre-established or established post-pandemic. If there's no space and she's being told before hand, then there's no space.
@kdcats40922 жыл бұрын
but the adult "kids" were also not invited. Guestiepoo was trying so hard to get her grown kids an invite by claiming them to be the underage "children" that were not invited. Strangely enough the bride probably would have had WAY fewer problems if allowing only people under 13 to the wedding and avoiding this woman and her tantrum. The kiddos would have been much better behaved even if they were running around, yelling and throwing cake than the adult throwing the tantrum

The antique wedding dresses remind me when was little my mom’s cousin got married in the 1976. We had dresses for the wedding that looked exactly like curtains and couches back them. My mom, sister and I had same dees and brother had shirt that matched ugly brown flowers dresses

OMG, I love the vintage bridesmaid dresses, remove the sleeves, adjust the neckline, and remove the horrid hats, the dress could be quite stunning for a fall wedding. I love those colors too. ♥
