That last story.... Poor girl, to be betrayed like that would be so devastating. I love that she never confronted them face to face, got all her ducks in a row and just YEETED them out of her life. Sending the video to the group chat was chef's kiss perfect! I think Queen dropped this 👑

The sad thing is that it's so common for really supportive people to get screwed. Some people just react differently to being taken care of, instead of being appreciative, they start to think that they 'deserve' that support and that the person supporting them is awful. So glad that girl got some good advice and contacted her lawyer(s). It's the best move. Lawyers see that sh!t (and worse) all the time, don't go through that struggle and pain alone.

My bf of 8 years just broke up with me last month. He lived with me (while I was paying for everything) for over half that time. I got him a job, did the brunt of the chores around the house, spent money on lavish gifts and outings for him, took him on vacations to hawaii and around the US, all while he saved his money and only spent it on himself and his fancy truck that he could only afford through me. After he dumped me for another woman, he had the balls to try and keep living in my house, using my bed and shower, and insisting that he needed to "go through this chapter alone." He doesn't know I know about his cheating, and still wants to maintain a "friendship" with me. It's hard when you are someone who gets joy from making your partner happy, and they get so entitled from the treatment they end up trying to take as much as possible all while using the hell outta you. Needless to say, this doormat is evolving to a closed door, and the only thing I feel grateful towards him for is giving me the anger and ambition to put all my energy into me. So anyway he's living in his fancy truck now.

Either that or they resent the person supporting them, thinking things like “they think they’re so much better than me” when it couldn’t be further from the the other person’s mind, and they almost place themselves in competition, when it’s wholly inappropriate for them to do so. It’s their own insecurities and lack of self-love getting the better of them, so they start projecting their shadows onto the other person who’s supporting them, and it’s all downhill from there.😳

I found out my daughter’s dad was cheating. I just didn’t know who he was cheating on me with. I went to my best friend crying, telling her all about it, and she comforted me, did all the guy bashing stuff that friends do, and made a “plan” with me to “find out” who the girl was. All the while she was the one sleeping with him and was lying straight to my face. The audacity of it all still gives me a stomachache to this day.

My ex-wife cheated with one of her ex-boyfriends. My buddy knew about it, encouraged her, and covered for her. Even when I suspected her of cheating and asked my buddy if he knew, he still covered for her. Fortunately I got out before we had kids. Haven't spoken to either of them since '06, despite him reaching out through facebook and through my parents. We still have a few mutual friends, but they're aware of the situation and run interference for me. Cut toxic people out of your life. As a man, married for 23 years I am horrified by these stories. I find cheating, even when dating such a breach of trust you can not recover. No one is impervious to it but the woman who was supporting this man and helping his mother should place him on the FBI’s most stupid poster and an amber alert with his picture should be sent out for “missing a brain stay away”.

Lol one time my grandad of all people had to hint to me that my boyfriend cheated on me. I still look back and laugh. I went to a local Mardi Gras parade with my grandmother for the weekend and came back to a ridiculous expensive, large bouquet and fancy jewelry. My grandad said “how long have you been dating the boy”? I told him 1 month. And he just pointed out how nice the gifts are when I got back from a weekend away and didn’t say anything else. 😂 I asked around and found out. Grandparents have experience with these things people. My son and I were the only two up having coffee one morning before the wedding and he was drinking out of a cup that said “petty” on it 😏 He said “hey Mama. When I found out she called me all sorts of lovely names and told me to grow up and get over it. That she can't help it that he liked her over me. So I grew suspicious and decided to tell her that I liked this random guy in class and how I wanted to ask him out. THE NEXT DAY she wanted to talk and told me how she liked him too and that she's so sorry and she met him "accidentally" after school and they hang out and he liked her too and blablabla and I told her that it's okay I don't like him that much and am now into another guy. She dumped this poor guy immediately and started flirting with the other guy. I was kinda sad it was so obvious and also I felt guilty that she played with this poor guys feelings but then again I was like 16 and teenagers can be pretty stupid.

That reminds me of an old girlfriend I had when I first turned 14. She would do this with every guy I showed interest in. In a funny turn of events she was a closeted lesbian who really just wanted to be noticed by me (toxic I know by I was naive). I gave the relationship a chance and it lasted two years. I thought I was really in love until my very observant friend found her and another woman making out in the mall when I was in the bathroom (he recorded it). And surprise surprise, it was my best friend! I took a while to calm down (he showed when we got to my house and the others were at their own houses). I decided to be petty! For further information my family and I gifted my best friend a car so she could drive from school to work with no issues. One thing that her family forgot to do was put their name on the car, meaning the car was in my family's name. I reported the car stolen and she was arrested, her family bailed her out and tried to sue my family because I stole "HER" car. The charges were immediately dropped when my family showed proof that it was in our name. This all happened this year, I am 16 and newly single. I will take a break from dating for a while since all of this was incredibly painful. With all of this said, yes I agree. Teenagers can be pretty stupid.@@yatshie8717

Story: My first love broke up with me after a yearish. My best friend actually got with my boyfriend about a year after the break up. Like together, together. I had to watch it day in and day out. It sucked, but I got over it because I loved her, bff love, not love/love. So, my bff had a party one night, everyone was there and I was living it up and acting slutty with other people, I was fine, she was fine. My ex and I were staying overnight there (separately). Like them their room, me in the other. So he starts flirting with me. I was like 'Ok, torture him slightly, then ax the whole thing like the ice queen that he turned me into.' Or something. So, he was begging me to leave with him, secretly. Then I was like "Are you kidding, I actually LOVE her and will NEVER touch YOU again!" It was glorious. But, I didn't tell her, at that time. Because there was no proof. This was pre-cell phone days/im days. She would've never believed me. So, later I caught him cheating with his other ex, and told her about that, she still didn't believe me. So, she caught them, finally. I just said I told you so. And then I told her about the night of the party. She finally believed me, all of our friends finally concurred, and I was vindicated. And she couldn't be pissed about it because SHE was the one to break the girl code. We stayed bffs until we moved away from each other. Still love her. He recently got divorced from his wife. I've been happily married for 23 years. Boom, bitches. I win.

@SingingSealRiana
@SingingSealRiana Жыл бұрын
Well it depends, for me friends rank higher then most partners in closeness or (non sexual) intimacy but like your partner for 5 years you where planning to marry or you are married to and trying for a child.... That does no longer count as barely knowing even if partnerships are. More prone to falling outs and switching then close friendships. Good longterm relationships rank as about equal in my mind but for many a partner as one wants a family with them ranks higher

So true, a friend of mine moved in with a guy, put money in the home--which was in HIS NAME, and I tried gently to press for being on the mortgage. She declared ‘That Will Look Like I Don’t Trust him!’ Everyone knows how this came out. He even kept the ‘family dog’ but she was so grateful for ‘visitation’. I’m suspicious of Beagles now, they are not loyal dogs!

My God, this is so triggering! I had a "friend" similar... She would sleep with any boyfriend I had. I've known her since we were in diapers! It was hard to cut off our friendship because of family ties. I finally had enough and unfriended her!!! She was going to kill herself, and I was her only best friend she had. I know, I'm an idiot, so I took her back... Then it happened again! But then, her brother died (Greg) tragically. Greg and I were great friends. 💔 So I took her back again! The last straw. Her and I had a mutual friend named Kim. Kim couldn't take it anymore and finally told me she was BRAGGING about being with my boyfriend... She had to tell me because Kim thought that was messed up and she'd do the same to her... I finally stopped being in her life, but she still tries to call me... Here's a kicker for ya... She had the audacity to call me when I was bedridden!!! To tell me that she thought I knew that her now husband slept with my friend Maria! WHEN MY CHEATING FRIEND AND HER HUSBAND WERE NOT EVEN TOGETHER YET, AND I SHOULD'VE TOLD HER ABOUT IT! BTW, THIS WAS YEARS PRIOR BEFORE THEY WERE TOGETHER! WTF?! First thing, I didn't even know about it. Not like her and I are even friends, and that's not my business to tell her! My God! She still plays the victim. Maybe I'm the crazy one? 😂😅 I know I've over shared, and probably no one will read this... if you got this far, you deserve a freakin' golden star 🌟 😅

Girl, if I could, I’d reach out and hug and cry with you. You did nothing wrong. And he’s obviously not worth your tears any more. It’s going to be hard. You’re going to feel lost. Find your support group. Your family, your friends, and your kids!!! Think of them. Even though you are falling apart, they need their mommy. They need you. Be strong for them. Take each day, each breath, each struggle one at a time. Just focus on what you need to do, on what is important. It won’t hurt to bring a trusted person along to give you the strength. You’re going through grief and you’re probably an emotional wreck. Lean on your support group to navigate through this challenge. You can do it. Just believe in yourself. Believe that the next steps will be important for you, your family, and your children.

That was the most satisfying cheating story! There’s nothing more disgusting than people willing to deceive the person they claim to love the most. When that person is also footing the bill for not just your life, but your mother’s HOME, it really goes a step beyond betrayal and into the realm of financial fraud and criminal activity. Adding that the affair partner is ALSO financially dependent on the victim really starts to look like organized grift. That poor woman just lost everything she trusted, in an instant. It’s sooo satisfying to hear that she was able to get her spicy payback, and it’s got to make it easier to heal, she’s a rock star!

Ha! Love it. When I found out my first husband was cheating I didn’t show any emotion except sheer gleeful evilness! I came home early, was serving overseas, to surprise him and found unknown lingerie in my dryer. My first thought was, ‘who is so daft that they would put lingerie in the dryer?’! 😂 Then it was ‘this is not mine!’. I rang up some guys from my team and we had the moving truck packed in under an hour. I took everything I bought into the marriage, which was pretty much everything except a few cd’s, and left all the wedding gifts too. While we were packing the moving truck, a locksmith was changing the locks to the condo. I left the new keys and lingerie on the kitchen counter with a note on the door telling him where he could find the keys! It was fabulous. The team took me out and got me pissed! Told everyone at the pub it was a divorce party. 🤣😈Ive been blissfully married to the most phenomenal man for 26 yrs, have two fabulous grown children and still laugh about the idiot who probably still ruins her lingerie to this day! The girl was the sister of his brother’s wife. If they married I’m sure Christmas was easier on them. 😁

That last story was one of the best examples of orbital bombardment I've ever seen. Although it is a good thing to be generous, the OP was not getting the respect she deserved. I do hope she keeps the generous spirit within her but starts setting boundaries to it and gets "loans' in writing from now on. Personally, I don't loan people money, even family or friends. However, I have given money to friends but have always made it clear that they were gifts, as I expected no return and could afford to "lose" the money.

That last story... what a rollercoaster of emotions. I want to give OP all the gold stars for who she is. OP is the literal definition of "generous to a fault". Sacrificing herself and her wealth to benefit others. But then the utter horror of the fiance and bff cheating. I don't blame OP for feeling stupid and foolish and betrayed. She did so much for them and assumed they were good people and grateful for her. OP deserves all the gold stars for keeping her head, controlling her emotions. The stereotypical thing to do is go confront them and fight until the police arrive. OP was playing 4D chess. She removed herself from the situation and, most importantly, lawyered up. No confrontation needed. If anyone has anything to say they can say it to her lawyer. Sending the video to the wedding group chat was a masterful stroke. No "she said he said". Everyone can see the video for themselves and make their own decision. I was glad to hear that people rallied around her to help, e.g., cleaning his stuff out of their apartment and the sister's bf changing the locks for her. His mom surprised me but maybe she's not that surprised that her son behaved like his father. OP sounds like what a "strong female character" should be. Kudos!

So after he shattered my leg in a DV incident & I laid in the hospital for 3 months, I had to rent a house that was wheelchair friendly and not go back to my other house. We rented that house out. Well ex didn't pay the mortgage on the house we were renting nor did he pay the rent in my wheelchair friendly home bc he was spending the money on his new gf and saving do they could move in together. So he packs up and moves out. I go to start putting everything in my name and everything is 3 months behind. I thankfully had a new job but it didn't pay much and going from 2 yo 1 income was not easy but now I'm 3 months behind on everything. He and his married gf move into the house we had rented out and squatted for 2 years so now he's also ruined my chances of ever buying a house on top of being now permanently disabled.

You poor girl, I'm so terribly sorry. I wish it were easier to take these disgusting sacks of human waste to court for the things they do. There's a lot he ought to be paying you for.

I was in a relationship with a girl, I added a guy I meet in school who I considered a friend (I am bi but no interest in him) to my gf. A few months later she goes and takes our friend group to six flags with new guy. My other male friend texts me saying that they are flirting though out the day. And at the end of the night they were kissing in the back while someone else drives back. Introducing friends is always dangerous!

16:20 I think that’s my favorite bit. When their own family rejects them for their shitty actions, it’s just rubbing their faces in it. Kudos to the OP, they handled it with poise!

The second story: She turned into their mom not a partner nor a friend. I get it. She had the means to take care of those she cared about, but just because you can doesn't mean you should. It is too easy for people to shift from gratitude to exploitation

Yes, People often confuse kindness with stupidity! It's quite sad.

It's such a bizarre thing though because if the roles were reversed, and it was the guy who was providing - "had the means to take care of those he cared about"- would people be calling him a dad not a partner nor friend? I think not - see a lot of those family dynamics. More likely, he'd be perceived as being a good man and a "keeper" for providing for his family and loved ones. Strange, isn't it
