I'm one of those long time EL Doublewear women who always look around to see if there's anything superior out there to try and as most companies don't offer samples, just end up all crumpled and disappointed every time they go shopping, ultimately sticking to what they know. As I age (ahem), I know I need to think about changing my foundation (and even my concealer) but without sampling there's no chance I'd take a chance on the brands I'm most interested in, namely: Cle de Peau, Nars, Sisley, Pat McGrath, Charlotte Tilbury, Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Illamasqua, Kryolan, Trish McEvoy and even the other MAC foundations. I wish someone would start an online foundation sample service. Would such a business model work? There's got to be a way. Department store lighting is tricky and colour matching is the easiest part; the finish is EVERYTHING as you get older. I'd love to know which medium coverage foundations more mature women rave about. Doublewear is my holy grail. I pack it on and you can't tell I'm wearing much at all. 🥰

I own the Marc Jacobs tantastic bronzer and the Tom Ford Terra. If anyone is looking for a dupe for the Marc Jacobs tantastic bronzer, Iconic London Ultimate Bronzing powder in light bronze, is identical. I swatched them side by side on my arm and also used 1 on each side of my face and you can't tell which is which. It's also massive just like the Marc Jacobs. ❤❤😊

The Chanel nr 1 foundation is so lovely. But I also found I had to use quite a lot. It does look great no matter how much you apply, but I did go through it quickly. At that price point, that is a negative for me.

I had Biba on my Christmas list for my gift to myself, but I would love to spend only half the price and have a smaller palette. Oh my goodness, can you PLEASE share how you got Lisa Eldridge eyeshadows to work?? I have the Myth palette, and I love the colors, but I just can't seem to make the look impactful. I can't get the shadows to pick up on a brush. Are these exclusively finger eyeshadows? I don't like that, but I'll do it if it'll make them look nice! I have watched her demos, and she doesn't seem to have any trouble with either brushes or fingers, so I'm assuming I'm doing it wrong. Please share and/or do a demo!!!
