That was such a treat! I love how affectionate you are towards your younger self, especially all the "she's right!" comments. I wonder what your younger self would have thought of all the incredible products you've created for your own make up line. Also, 'brow hysteria' is such a great way to describe the current obsession with eyebrows. I hope that you're right (you usually are) about people starting to chill out a bit about their brows. I can imagine young people clutching their metaphorical pearls in horror at the thought of leaving it at a quick brush through and maybe a little powder (if there's time), rather than a 20 minute three-step intensive brow routine 😅

My first vid of yours was your old Hollywood-inspired Vintage Golds look, because I was struck by its prettiness, plus I had a mini of Nars Majella and found this tutorial that coincidentally matched. I did and still totally admire the vintage look, but the tutorials were in somewhat shorter supply back then. You were one of the only ones to do a totally wearable but glam vintage look without it looking like a pin-up costume, and it was nothing but following from there. To this day your channel is so unlike other beauty channels in the best possible way, by celebrating the timeless and classic.

You taught me how to do makeup when I was 13, just barely a teenager who was scouring the internet for ways to cover up cystic acne. Though you indeed offered invaluable techniques for this mission (e.g., redness correction, letting healthy patches of skin shine through, and pinpoint concealing) now, at the age of 26, it is your artistry and love of beauty that has stayed with me and affected me the most. Thank you for all that you do and all that you are to so many of us, dear sweet Lisa💕

Was around then and still around now ♡. Not much of a commentator but wanted you to know that I have learned so much from you over the years, and have you to thank for my skin today, as I started facial massage back when you put out that video and it has massively changed my trajectory! Appreciate you!

I haven’t quite been around since this video - the first one of yours I saw was the ‘First Date Makeup’ when it made it on the old KZbin homepage! What I’ve always appreciated about your tutorials is that while the products may change (or not), the advice and techniques are timeless. Here’s to the next 13, Lisa!

Gosh I remember that video! I used to watch and rewatch and rewatch (actually, who am I kidding, I still do!!) I love watching your videos while I get ready in the mornings because of your calm and cheerful demeanour and of course the helpful and encouraging tips. Thank you for all these years Lisa, and here's to many many more! Merry Christmas xx

I've been run over by a van 3 days ago and the first thing I've done when getting home is watching this, and now I feel the need to comment. Well, I've been here for about 10 years, when I started digging into makeup and wondering if I should be using heavy foundations and tons of products that were promoted while thinking it wasn't my style at all. So then your no- makeup makeup video popped out and here I am, loving your journey, our journey, and feeling so proud of my learning and your teaching. Thanks a lot lisa, you are so inspiring, down to earth. You spread kindness and calmness in this crazy world. This little shared time is kind of therapeutical! :) Merry Christmas to you, and everyone reading. Long life Lisa's community!

I only found you during the pandemic's early days, but I so wish I had watched you from the beginning. You have brought so much joy, beauty, and excellent skin into my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am a huge fan and a big admirer of you. Like someone else commented, I love seeing how affectionate you are towards your younger self. I would like to see any more of these types of videos you might like to make (reactions to your older videos). Thank you for being you, Lisa.

Finding you 13 years ago changed my whole way of doing things. I still think about you every time I do my skincare routine and makeup. I always look at vintage makeup differently as well. You’ve been an inspiration and incredible teacher. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for us in your community. ❤

Lisa, I really hope you understand how important your impact has been from individual people on up. You led the charge in legitimizing KZbin as a platform for the beauty and fashion industries. Then, as if that wasn't enough, your brand demonstrates how an indie operation can be more than just a name on a box; it can take the time and consideration to foster the utmost quality and innovation. It's no surprise that the woman in the first video and the woman in this one are doing so much of the same thing: they understood/understand makeup front to back, which gave/gives them the freedom to ask, "How can I use this talent and knowledge to make the world more beautiful?" Happy Holidays!

This look inspired all my everyday looks as a Mom. I’ve been watching since the beginning. I almost gave up on makeup when I became a mom 10 years ago. But thanks to you and your channel - I didn’t. You taught me everything I know about makeup. You have also inspired me to wear sunscreen daily, go to the dermatologist, have a skin care regimen. I believe you’ve changed the history of makeup.

Can't say i was here back then, but i have followed you for quite a few years anyway and you helped me improve my makeup skills immensely. I can only say as example that I could not make a specific kinda pricey eyeshadow palette work for me, but then I followed your tutorial with you using the exact same one and managed to create a beautiful look with my unskilled hands, just trying and copying you. You were ahead of the times, understand skin, product textures like only a few others in the industry and your techniques don't need to be changed, they just work! Thank you Lisa❤

I remember getting the free Boots CD where you shared all kinds of make-up tipe and tricks - this was around 2007 or so? I was so excited when I discovered your KZbin channel a few years later! I can't thank you enough for everything you've shared since. I had never bothered with makeup in my youth and learned how to do mine well by watching you all those years ago. I will be forever grateful for you and have loved watching this video throwback 🥰 Have a lovely Christmas, Lisa and team!
