I’m in my early 60s and have been wearing tubing mascara for about 30 of those years. I love how it wears and doesn’t budge. I love never ever having raccoon eyes. Most of all I love how my eyelids look after 30 years of not rubbing my eyes to remove mascara! I love how many choices there are right now. Nobody seems to be taking about how great your eyes look decades down the road not just every day.

I'm right there with you. Early 50's and bought blinc when it first came out in 1995. I can't use regular formulas without looking like a raccoon.

I finished a powder bronzer which I would repurchase but I think it has been discontinued. I’m close to finishing the rare beauty cream bronzer stick too. First year I’ve used up a bronzer, let alone two in a year. I also can’t believe I went through 6 full size perfumes, 4 foundations and two concealers. I already repurchased the Chanel Les Beiges water tint foundation. The rest I won’t be repurchasing.

I love the desriptetive way in which you explain which is a repurchase or not and why, of each product. You always make me smile. Loved this video from you, I thoroughly enjoyed this video . I didn't make it to my radiation appointment today as my blood pressure was absolutely so low that I literally can't stand up. It took me awhile to write in the comment box I don't think it was a lot as you test a lot of makeup products so that needs consideration..🎀💗🌹✔️💯❗

The product that I’ve used up this year was the about face foundation in F1 olive and the Mob Beauty ceramide blurring foundation in 30 Olive. Love the finishes and gives a really nice glow

I have like 4 cream bronzers on the go. All have hit pan and all are great. Nars, Milani, Saie and Revolution. I haven't thrown a single one out because I am determined to "finish" them all. But yet, there is something inside me that wants to keep buying new ones. The determination to finish is not rewarded in our consumer culture. Thanks for the great video.

instead of the nars concealer for an eyeshadow primer try a mac paint pot. its got great coverage to cancel anything out, and a good primer.

If you take the stopper out of your concealer tube you can scrape the remaining product out with a squeegee from Amazon- you get a load more uses out of your product and you use the whole thing! X

You should try Laneige lip sleeping mask, the pink one, if you already haven't. It is amazing! I use it as a mask and as a lip balm, for no makeup days. It makes the lips plumb and has very subtle, my lips but better, color.

I recommend the Make Beauty lip reset. tons of colors and the red/cherry has the most opacity. I was using several others and hated them. Love this as a primer, gloss, topper but, at night it is the best for a mask. There is clear, pink, red or purple etc. They are having a black Friday event, so I hope it gets on your radar to try. I do want to try the Sarah Creal lip primer, but, maybe it will be a holiday gift???

Unfortunately this year I had to trash a lot of makeup because it was getting too old. I emptied mascaras and my favorite eye pencil, but I couldn't finish other stuff, for instance eyeshadow or lip products. I hope I'll manage to get full use or hit pan of those that I have. To reach this goal I limited purchasing of lipsticks to few colours I really use. I also have just four blushes. However I couln't keep myself from getting more eyeshadows that I'll really need. I like those too much.. the textures, the colors.. I restrained myself from several palettes, but I bought quite a few. That's my guilty pleasure. On a positive end, a item that I fully use up are fragrances! I have many empties of low price range and designer. I use niches fragrances more sparingly, so they are still on my vanity. I managed not to buy new fragrances, and to keep them in the wishlist for future years. Somehow the fact that I know I tend to use up fragrances makes it easier for me to not buy new ones, because I know that next season, or next year, my current fragrance will be used up and I can try a new one. It sounds also a little stupid, because fragrances can last a long time in the bottle, unlike opened eyeshadow palettes! Anyone relates?

I truly thought you’d have more empties, even when considering the size of your collection. Regardless, it’s fantastic! Seeing what you use the most and plan to repurchase is quite helpful. I don’t know how I missed the Rare Beauty brow gel memo! I just purchased the Patrick Ta and it’s dreadful! It isn’t effective and it flakes, making it appear that my brows have the worst dandruff. Funny….i also have a Haus Labs concealer that is thick and almost gone. Blew through a Chanel No 1, and I do plan to repurchase. Finally repurchased a Shiseido Synchroskin Foundation which I ❤. Lastly, I hit pan on my Cloud powder! But….i just purchased the pink shade, so will prolly use up other beige powders first. ❤U!😊

I used up my Chantecaille Future skin foundation. I will repurchase next summer during their July sale. For now I am using up some others. I also used up a Tarte maracuja lip thingy. I have a couple of others to use up, but I might repurchase that too in the future. Usually I just empty my skincare and mascara so this year was surprising.

For me it is worth it, but I buy it only when it is on discount. I don’t like heavy foundation. The future skin is very light and does not dry me out. I prefer a really light coverage. I have tried about 20 foundations and this is my favorite. I also like the Dior cushion and in winter the Jones Road WTF, because it is so emollient, but light in coverage. I can wear Future skin at any time of year.

In 2024, I finished two lipsticks; two eyebrow pencils and I hit pan on three eyeshadow colours. I have nearly finished a primer and there're five lipsticks that are well down. However, I am disappointed in how few makeup products I finished this year and I am now desperate to get my stash to a saner level.

I second the Armani! You get an enormous amount of top quality product. Eighteen grams for oh my goodness (sorry, I was double checking the cost)! If you’re in the US, it’s currently on sale directly from Armani Beauty for $29 as opposed to its regular retail price of $58! That’s an incredible deal. Heck, it’s a good deal at $58. You won’t regret it!

Hi Charlotte! I’ve been following you for quite some time and I’m usually quiet but I would like to ask for your help with something! I I’m almost to the end of my Becca under eye primer. I know they went out of business, but I stocked up because I love their under eye primer. Now it’s time for me to find a new one and I don’t know one that will compare, I’m hoping maybe you do. I’m 63 with lines under my eyes and I need one that keeps my concealer from settling in them. I know this is gonna sound weird, but the under eye primer was one of my last, I guess products that memorializes Mel Thompson. She suggested it and always had the best recommendations, I still miss her. So it’s extra hard to let go of this Becca. Would you all consider doing a video on just face primers, including under eye primers? Or if you would be kind enough to suggest one to me, I would appreciate it!
