I really enjoyed this epsiode especially the banter with Paige + Piper, going back & forth over head witch duties then later agreeing to share the responbilities. plus the spell to turn him into a tree was so creative! one of my favs spells from the show.

I get what you mean, it feels like a filler episode. I think you liked Lucky Charmed more because it wasnt taking itself serious as much this one tried to do. Even tho the tree spell was creative and kinda had the same goofy vibe. I guess it was an era where supernatural was much into more fantasy and mythological creatures (Harry Potter and other magical shows of this type on the rising). The sub plot is a funny one, I understood it more of which one will take take care of some smaller stuff like improving their spells and potions and Phoebe stopped caring about this kind of stuff since she first got with Cole. Like, remember in S1-S2, Phoebe was so into her witchcraft, she was the one coming with spells on the spot, reading more the book etc. Then in S3 Prue was out of her job and she came up with the Balzathar plan, she found out how the crystal cage works etc. Piper, well she mostly started taking charge after she got the big sister I'd say and Paige since late S4, early S5 where we see her coming up with new methods each time

Yeah you're right. There has been this sort of flow between who is learning to do more witchy things throughout the seasons. Paige definitely has the time/energy/enthusiasm for it now. 😄

So obviously the nymphs and satyrs are from greek mythology (the writers are obsessed I don't know 😅) but I feel there are equivalent figures in the Celtic one too. Anyway I feel it's another one of those episodes where for the subplot to happen they make Piper act like Prue like in the one where she didn't approve of Phoebe's date and in this one she's competing with Paige about the magic reigns. I mean I could totally understand Piper being upset about the kitchen but not about the witchy stuff. And that line about how good she is at vanquishing demons, that was so Prue. Ps have you ever watched Hercules or Xena from the nineties? Both of those series were crazy. Thay had the greek mythology as a starting but they eventually blended every mythology on earth. Hercules spends a good amount of episodes having adventures in Ireland with a redhead 😂. But Xena is one of my favourite shows despite the silliness sometimes.

I know of both of those shows. They were on TV when I was younger, but I never got around to watching any of them. 😄

I laughed so hard when you joked at the end of the last episode ('Cat House') that the next episode would probably be the worst episode of the show to follow up the really good one. Funny that it was sandwiched between two of the strongest episodes of the season. Rose has said that this was her least favourite episode and that she hated having to film it (something along those lines) because of the nymph plot.

The leprechaun one and this one are both stupid. Honestly charmed just goes downhill and turns into a show for children from season 5 on. Even the season opener has mermaids. Compare that to the season 1 opener. Very different vibe!

Yeah, I agree that the vibe is completely different to season 1. I have a real soft spot for the early seasons.
