Paige's voice is enchanted. People can call her from anywhere, so she can call stuff from anywhere. Prue's power is linked to her physical body. If it's not in her physical presence, she can't move it.

@@Jranthony04that’s not true. That’s a completely separate power than what prue has. Prue had normal telekinesis meaning she has to see what she is moving. The ability to move things that are NOT in your sight is called ‘remote telekinesis’ . The lil boy in season 1 had this ability. The boy that was kidnapped to shut off the alarm system inside of the bank that the theirs were trying to rob.

A lot of people going to great lengths to explain the bad writing here. You can't use powers in Astral mode, and if you could there's no way they could figure it out in a few days when Prue couldn't in a few years. There's the second plot hole too, which is that the woogey and the nexus are too different beings. The woogey is attracted to the power of the nexus, that's why it's under the basement, this treats them as the same when they aren't. The latter series of the show was written by people who didn't care or watch the show previously, so there is a lot of plot holes. Like Paige asking the other two how they vanquished the source because it was before her time, which it wasn't.

Shannon doherty wanted the show to be dark. If you notice season 1 and 2, the demons look like actual demons. it was in season 3 that budget cuts for prosthetic make ups started, the storyline became light hearted especially in season 4 and became cheesy. Shannon wanted charmed to have the same energy of the craft, xfiles and buffy in its beginning seasons.

Paige only ask that because while she was in the fight she wasn’t there to prepare and set the infrastructure for what would defeat the source. The whole crystal set up was created by Prue, the spells as written by Phoebe, if you remember in the episode and season Paige was thrown in the middle of battle to prepare to defeat this “source” energy. They were preparing to battle the source since season 3, Piper even says at the end of episode “we couldn’t have done It without Prue”, so in a sense Paige really didn’t know how they defeated the source, remember during the battle with the source when Piper gets knocked out, Phoebe is leading her as the older sister “we can still make the plan work”.

This is late, but prue only learnt how to astral project for 3 years whereas Paige, she had 4 years to learn how to do this and use her powers whilst in astral mode. If Prue were still alive then she would be able to use her powers in astral to.

Yall are debating how Paige was able to use her powers while in Astral mode when clearly they used a spell for this and altered it so that Paige can use it temporarily its not their natural born power like Prue so thats why she had a hard time using it but in Primrose Empath she was able to do so when she tries using it in the earlier scenes in the episode when Prue was trying to move a spoon you can hear her power effects on it meaning sometime later she wouldve been able to use it

I once read, can't remember where, that Prue couldn't use her powers during astral projection because the astral projection was an enhancement of her telekinesis. Like she could push her conscious into another form telekinetically which is why she was naturally gifted at it. However, her telekinesis being occupied she couldn't use it again in her astral form

It doesn’t…this was a plot hole. Paige has never been more powerful than prue and never will. Prue proves this when she comes back to life in season 9 comics which indeed are canon to the show and defeats paige with ease.

I’m well aware of the comics and know of them being canon… So, if you’re referring to Prue and Paige’s first encounter that was hardly even a fight. Prue only subdued Paige by telekinetically holding her. Not really showcasing powerful there. Now, while I can agree that powerful may have been the wrong word to use in this situation, Paige still always had a bit of an upper hand due to her skill set.

@@Jranthony04 Prue died her third year of being a witch. So, I highly doubt her skillset surpassed Paige’s, who constantly lived an everyday life of fighting evil for years with Piper and Phoebe. And Prue subduing Paige doesn’t make her powerful nor does that give her power negation. Hell, Paige is more powerful than Chris, but I’m pretty sure Chris could subdue her with telekinesis as well. Paige has been overcome by others’ powers before, and was still able to channel her magic to some capacity. The only reason I fell like the writers didn’t have her retaliate was because this wasn’t meant to be a fight between the two, but a lead up to conversation. Prue is more powerful than Paige, but Paige seems to be more valuable in terms of what she can do. At least in my opinion. Because honestly Piper, at this point, seems to be the powerhouse of the Halliwell sisters.🤷🏾‍♂️

Oh the episode Phoebe said Prue showed Leo how to astal project, so probably Prue eventually learnt on how to use her power when she was in astral mode, but this was never shown on the series, the same way the "prue's animal conjuring spell" was never shown until Paige mentioned it.

Triana Co. Yes, if prue had stayed alive she would have grown to be more powerful. However, considering she died, paige had the time and ability and became more powerful. Paige can teleport (orb) she can move things with her mind, and she can heal, also prues telekinesis was limited to what she could see which wasn't the case with paige. That is why she is more powerful.

Maybe because it's her whitelighter powers, not her witch powers. She can only use telekinesis through orbing. She can't do it by looking at something or simply waving her arm.
