The patience of this pair is amazing!! I can't say about the UK but in the US its far better to "lease" a business property for a business than it is to own. Business rent is a total write off - a much better tax write off'!!
@chloeuntrau45882 жыл бұрын
Same in the Netherlands!
@michaeltutty15402 жыл бұрын
One thing to remember is that the tax write off when buying a business property is the interest portion of the mortgage. The other thing to remember is that while you get to deduct the rental amount off taxable income, what you are really saving is just the income tax on the amount of the rent. I don't know what the taxation rates are, because they vary widely country to country, for round figures only, assume rent is $1,000 a month and the income tax rate is 20%. Total rent is $12,000. The taxes saved would be $2,400, meaning you have still spent $9,600 in rent after taxes with zero equity in the property.

Based on the comments, you'd think Kirstie full-on assaulted Phil in this episode. She barely taps his cheek with the tips of her fingertips - she does NOT 'slap' him (that requires contact of the palm of the hand with the side of the face and the force of the entire arm - not the fingertips from a short distance with no force). It's a playful tap on the cheek, for heaven's sake, after HE teasingly calls her a witch. Some people are way over sensitive and too worried about other people's playful dynamic. They are like brother and sister and tease each other constantly. Don't bring your own issues to it and turn it into a crime scene.
@geraldinemcgarvey62492 жыл бұрын
Clearly, she hit him no matter what you call it. That's the basis of assault. She could and should have not reacted in a violent manner. Your pejorative attitude toward her violence says volumes about your culture and mental space.

I wonder how that very old cottage with the well in the kitchen is heated? Didn't see anything to heat the place, besides the woodstove.
@ysbyttybedbug2 жыл бұрын
I used to live in a small terraced cottage that was 150 years old with exterior walls that were 18 inches (45cms) thick. The only heating I had was a fireplace (for coal or wood) and the portable gas fire that was needed for the modern bathroom extension (which was freezing!). This was in the days of single-glazed windows, too. But it was plenty warm enough and when the next door neighbours lit their fire, it also warmed my house, so I didn’t even need to light mine.

Most modern men are terrified of the responsibility of children out of selfishness and cowardice. They don't want to take responsibility for their sexual activity in the first place, which is why they invented the Pill and pushed to legalize abortion as 'women's freedom' when it's really men's freedom to have all the sex they want with anyone and without any responsibility for raising children or actually caring about the women they use, scrape out and use again. Men are just cowards about kids and lazy about the hard work involved in supporting them and raising them. Often they have to be won over to openness to life and generosity by their wives and by the love they have for their 1.6 'first' children and the desire to give their children siblings to love and support each other after the parents die. You might as well say that he married her knowing she wanted four children and he's being selfish to deny her the right to generous motherhood. As for 'affording' them, people have an unrealistic idea of how much stuff and luxury children want. If you ask most children, they would far rather grow up knowing their parents really wanted them, that they are loved and having a group of siblings than having all the latest gadgets and fashions and posh school, etc.
@meganseastrom54672 жыл бұрын
@@FigaroHey Somehow I think you missed my point: that it is creating a lack of trust in a relationship to just do as you please, irregardless of your partners wishes. How did this become a feminist issue? She is doing what everyone hates: being the baby momma no matter what the guy wants. Maybe they did talk about how many kids before they got married, but maybe not. I grew up in a big family where both my parents HAD to work...and that was decades before all the "stuff" todays people want and expect. There just was never enough: never enough time, never enough attention or love, never enough for clothes - most of my clothing was hand-me-downs...from 3 brothers! I grew up being the "mom" to my younger sister and brother, so I was cheated out of my childhood. How will she run a gardening business with 4 little kids to care for? Hiring help is just another expense, but cutting hours or closing the business to be a housewife puts excessive pressure on your partner. What happens when he has to close his business and go back to a job he hates? I stand by my opinion: she is being selfish and not realistic.
