I love the property Ashlee ended up buying. It's definitely the pick of all the ones she viewed. Poor Phil - he was definitely given the runaround with his clients.

So happy for the young lady who found a wonderful spot and she is so lucky to have the support of her fantastic parents. The manly couple were depressing me everytime they were on screen. I had a very unoptimistic.feeling about them finding something as a home and Phil had a feeling something was wrong or at least not all right, too. Love you both Kirstie and Phil.

What a great program! I love Kirstie and Phil, working separately for clients and then working together to always have the right vibe at play! I have watched "Escape to the Country" for years but now really like this series, too.

Colin and Robin. Probably my favourite couple on Location, Location, Location. Was very, VERY sad to hear that Colin died. And then Bruno followed. Two stellar beings. I wish Robin the very best (with the new Rumpus).

SOMEONE JUST ASKED HOW I KNEW... Now the comment has disappeared! But here's the answer: 'Location, Location, Location' did a followup episode (in fact, a couple of episodes, from different times) on Colin and Robin. (Oh! It makes me so sad just writing this ! Silly me).

I thought Phil would show Colin and Robin more historic, rural properties like a carriage house in original condition on a grand estate.

I'm going to assume that they were none for sale at the time in the areas they were looking in. When a search becomes difficult, sometimes Phil and Kirstie sit with the house hunters and give them a huge stack of listings that they deemed were unsuitable to show them to prove how much research has been done and how they were only shown the best houses that suited their criteria/budget. Sometimes, though, with some house hunts, I wonder how much research was really done because the homes shown just didn't seem suitable for them.

for $400K? They said at the beginning they had put the search out into literally Hundreds of agents, etc. These were the best they could find for that budget. Champagne taste on a beer budget.
@thehungrygoldfish
@thehungrygoldfish Жыл бұрын
@@meganseastrom5467 Yeah, that's my point though. "The best" according to who? It just seems like there would have been better options than the ones shown in the episode, specifically number one, because it met basically none of their requirements.

Pipe dream! Their focus was very obscure and parameters are needed for an agent to begin. They were looking for a unicorn in an unspecified location! Clients from hell.

As an Architect with 40 years of practice under my belt, I can confidently say that I have NEVER heard that Architects don’t live in churches. What an affectation. As another point, an Architectural Historian is NOT an Architect, generally they have not passed their exams and have never practiced and that is assuming they have an Architecture degree (many do not).

But that man said that he himself would not want to live in a church, and not that architects do not live in churches.

An Architecture Historian is not an architect, just like an Art Historian is not an artist. I didn’t quite catch which one of them was the historian but it’s a bit odd that they asked for a couple of centuries old home and they are surprised the ceilings were lower. It’s something they should’ve been aware of as specialists.

@@minime7375 Clearly you've not been to victorian or genorgan Britian like this man lived his whole life - the ceeling highs in them are gigantic. To the point about architect's most of whom will never have any fame and work for new build companies designing soulless homes. Not all architect's are good at what they do, a qualification does not lead to taste.

Personally I would have chosen the sea front flat. But that's just me , because I dont need or want much space. Also, i dont cook so I could use some of the kitchen space for other kind of storage. and being in front of the sea is more important for me. However I can see how the hanover flat would suit a lot of people better. I actually enjoyed colin's sense of humour.
