Finland here, talismans are powerful in drawing in and can take months to create, but are only consecrated once and works until it's destroyed. Amulets are for warding of evil& charged yearly. Charms are used to magnetize your wish to you. Horseshoes are of iron & protects you from faeries, elves etc... Lol Blessings Maggie

So, if you make a spell jar for protection and wear it as a necklace- you’ve made an amulet!!! If you make a spell jar to attract something and wear it as a necklace, you’ve made a talisman!!! How cool 🤯

I was wondering if you could do an update on your Mabon and Yule celebration videos to explain more about what herbs and animals are around those seasons please if you wouldn't mind.
Of course, that's not everything but I hope this helps you both :)

I honestly think this is the most concise explanation of the differences, and is such a simpler way to explain it to people. Thank you. Personally I'm a big fan of wearing amulets, but I have occasionally made talismans for my house and family I hang it certain places.

Tfs this look at how the UK often sees amulet/charm/talisman. It's interesting. Also, I appreciate your acknowledgement that different cultures and traditions do it differently.

This is just a guess but it seems to me that the huge confusion and interchangeable nature of these three words might be because talismans and amulets can become charms over time. Additionally the ability to add charms to either may muddy the concepts of each. Like maybe at one point the Nazar was an amulet that people made and imbued with power but now it is so widespread that it has become a charm. Same for pomegranates in Judaism and Armenian jewelry, these are clearly charms now but that could possibly be an outgrowth of a former talisman/amulet that gained wider popularity/significance.

Hello! :) Firstly, I'd like to say thank you for all of the hard work you put into this channel and for all the wisdom you share. I was fortunate to find you pretty early on in my practice, so you have been an integral part of it for a while (don't worry, I still do my own research, lol). This probably isn't the best place, though I'm not really sure where else I can ask this, but, in past videos you've touched on magickal batteries. I've been researching but I can't seem to find anything useful about them or how to create/use them. Is this something you would consider doing a video on? Or, if anyone in the comments has any resources, please let me know! Thank you! ^_^

High Priestess, I had a thought. I've access to black oak, yet need your advice. I've an idea for a black oak wand, but am unsure what to put in to it. Which element works best (in your opine) for the particular black oak branch. Or have you ever used one perhaps? I'm as well, attempting to get my hands on anything rowan wood, but the taxes on import and export are insane. Lol. Anyway, blessed be Lady Hearth. Love and light to thee, always. May the Gods smile upon you always, friend. ✌️🧙♀️

I love your videos and I am really enjoying the outtakes hehe. I write like I speak too and apparently, according to my readers, it's fun. I have a query if you fancy a bit of a challenge. I cannot find any info on this anywhere. To the right of my back door there is a little china doll head embedded into the wall. No one is sure when it was put in but I believe the house was built in the 1600s. It's a gate house but the mirror house (there's general two houses for each set of gates) doesn't have this head. I'd love to hear your thoughts, or anyone's, on this. Thanks in advance 💖💖💖💖

How I view charms: Tia Dalma : Land is where you are safe, Jack Sparrow, and so you will carry land with you. Jack Sparrow : Dirt. This is a jar of dirt. Tia Dalma : Yes. Jack Sparrow : ...Is the jar of dirt going to help? Tia Dalma : If you don't want it, give it back. Jack Sparrow : [greedily] No! Tia Dalma : Then it helps.

@squidgymossforest3 жыл бұрын
mundane reasons could just be that u need some stronger stuff lol! but seeing as its happened more than once it probably means there is a lot that the amulets and charms are fighting off/theyre doing their jobs. i think as your magic grows more powerful it will last longer and work more efficiently

From my perspective, I as well, would be tongue tied, if it meant speaking to someone as extremely lovely as you, Lady Hearth. Merry meet, your grace. ✌️🥰
