This documentary is unique in its attempt to combine information about some of the architectural features of Chartres Cathedral with a search into the mysteries, the deeper meaning and purpose of a sacred place. Are there sacred sites? How do they affect us, if we allow ourselves to be sensitive to their energies?
How can Chartres Cathedral be understood, in terms of its sacred geometry? One hour is too short a time to unravel all its mysteries, but it can point the viewer towards some of the Cathedral’s deeper meanings. The documentary aims to both uplift and inspire, and leave the viewer with a feeling of hope, of being part of a wider community capable of working together in harmony, as were those who built Chartres Cathedral in 12th century France.
Memorable images of Chartres Cathedral’s stained glass windows, striking stonework and statues, the famous labyrinth and beautiful music by American composer Richard Einhorn, accompany an insightful commentary. Professor Keith Critchlow, a leading specialist in Sacred Geometry and Architecture, elaborates on his personal findings about the cathedral, and guides us with knowledge and wisdom throughout the documentary. Malcolm Miller, the well-known author, and Chartres Cathedral tour guide, offers his own perspective on the Cathedral and its Christian symbolism. The documentary represents a perfect starting point for those who may be interested in all things Sacred. It is an ideal resource for architectural students and those who want to know more about medieval buildings, European history and culture.
This ever-popular documentary has now (2014) been re-mastered and reissued by the Producer and Director of the film, Louise Illig-Mooncie.

Long ago in Christian Europe the spirit of initiation was kept alive throughout the Dark Ages and the medieval period by several initiatory orders of people, who the church even today described as illiterate workmen. Illiterate workmen my backside! they were highly skilled people, these were the craft masons who built the glories of Chartres Cathedral, who built Cologne Cathedral, who built Amien, and who built every major church building in Europe. They had no architects, they worked as teams, now Chartres Cathedral was built in the unbelievable time of 30 years. It was built by five separate craft masonic teams, all working seemingly independent of one another, there is no existing overall plan for the place and yet the whole thing comes together as a harmonious whole which baffles description. It enhances the powerful earth energies that are already there, it is acoustically perfect and it is a place of incredible beauty. Now these crafts mason's were divided into four main groups, they are known today collectively as The Compagnonnage, and they were the Compagnons Passant who built bridges, made road structures and built castles. The Children of Maitre Soubisse who mainly worked in the romanesque style with rounded arches, thick walled buildings, that couldn't rise very high because of structural problems with them. Then there were the Children of Solomon, and this is a very disputed group. It's very difficult to discern whether they actually were part of the Templar order or were they merely affiliated to them or were they employed by them. The Templar certainly gave them their rule. They built in the new style that the Templars had brought back the secret from the holy land, how to build with the pointed arch. They got that from their Sufi brethren in Jerusalem, and the first pointed arches that the Templars commissioned are still there to this day on Temple Mount. They were replicated at Chartres Cathedral in France. Now with gothic building, the pointed arch, the flying buttresses, the stresses are totally different, so you can build high, you can build with thin walls, you can have large window spaces which allowed the glories of stained glass to come into play and the mystery at Charte is that the stained glass there is particularly special. The secret was brought back by the Templars from near persia and that stain glass filters out certain wavelengths of light, and only allows those through that are conducive to a change in consciousness. All the things necessary for a change of consciousness can be found in Charte and in several other cathedrals too - the light is right, the earth energies are enhanced, amplified and the acoustics are perfect. It's all about a spiritual change of consciousness, transformation.

I once visited Chartres with the intention to see if I could understand something of this idea of Objective Sacred Art. About ten mins after entering I found it impossible not to weep profoundly and deep. I calmed myself a little and looked up and around and everyone I could see all around were weeping too. It was astonishing. How could art have this objective impression? This is not to say everyone who enters will experience this too. Just be still and inwardly relaxed and quiet and look around and you will see what I mean, or so it seems to me.

I see a big issue with that with people picking and choosing what they want to be sacred as basically being anything that they like or that they wish to promote and demonizing what they dislike and don't want to promote. I think we like to simplify things into those two boxes and that's not real sacredness. We should seek to understand true sacredness.

The underground structures are also very interesting. There are 14 underground water channels (Wuivres=water, symbolized by snakes) dug out, one of which feeds the baptism font, the source of 'Saint - Forts'. The channels are fed by underground rivers that flow beneath the Cathedral. They converge under the altar. Also, in 1770, bishop Bridan replaced some coloured windows with clear ones, so that the congregation could see him better. This disturbed the effect of the coloured windows on the psyche of the attending people. Before this time, the priests performed the mass with their backs to the people. After this time they revered their own pompous egos more than the holy ceremony they represent. (Source: 'Orte der Kraft' by Blanche Merz, Institut de Recherches en Geobiologie, Schweiz, 1984) The builders of Chartres were probably taught by the Arabs, who brought us the decimal system with the 0 (zero) they imported from the Vedic mathematics.

The cathedral was built on the powerful Michael and Mary serpent lines, which stretch from Skellig Michael off the west coast of Ireland and has been traced all the way down to Armageddon near Mount Carmel in Israel. Prior to Christianity this was known as the Apollo and Athena line. There would have been sacred groves and possibly stone circles placed on the nodal points where the male and female energies cross, the alter being the exact location of the crossing point. The churches and monuments along this line are more often than not dedicated to Michael or Mary and would have been built over the pre-Christian (Pagan) groves as the Church asserted its dominance over the people. Interestingly there was mention that there were several churches laid out to show the Virgo constellation. More and more star maps are being discovered in the landscapes of Western Europe, which are ancient, far older than Christianity. There are several videos on KZbin about them.

_Chartres Cathedral was built and financed at the Knights Templar’s behest. That's how it was erected so quickly, normally it took two or three centuries to finish a cathedral, Chartres was done in 30 years. Over the west front of Chartre, there is one of the earliest pieces of gothic architecture in Europe. It is the over the main door at Chartre, with Jesus sat in glory, surmounted by a mandorla which according to straight Church iconography means he is God, and there is another significant symbol of his deity which is his halo, and it's a halo with a cross in it that symbolises the deity. But if you look very carefully at the shape of that cross you'll find it's the Gnostic cross!_ We've got heresy again, so we not only have here heresy behind the head of Jesus, we also have Europe's first known initiate Pythagoras, and there are more. Above the three pillars supporting the main door, there is a frieze and it's very intricate, and it shows what the church guides tell you of the principal scenes from the life of Jesus, but it's deliberately designed to confuse. You can start at the left work right, you start in the middle and work left, when you got to the left you go back to the middle, and you work right. On the right you will find Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey being hailed as the King of the Jews and immediately next to it he's being laid in the tomb. Well my Christian friends what's missing? the crucifixion, the central issue of Christianity, and what these boys are trying to tell us is two things. There are two or three little triggers like this, you are free to interpret any piece of symbolism in that particular Cathedral in the gnostic tradition in the heretical point of view, secret symbolism.

Where do I start? I can’t possibly start no one would read it, it would be that long so I will pose one point. The point being it states the knowledge to build these structures was trusted to only a few! I would say if we count all these structures that were Standing before the First World War you find every building is constructed with the same sacred geometry so whole towns and cities. consider some of these were just residential buildings that point is invalid it appears it was common knowledge that has been hidden presently by a few that have used war to erase the common knowledge replacing it with the nonsense they try teaching in schools. All these structures had a positive symbiotic relationship with humanity while it’s replacement only causes Dis-ease, if you take a look at an original bell it will have a chunk taken out of it to change the frequency from a positive to a negative one. Like I said to much to state.

This, I believe, is due to the code of secrecy maintained. Ppl unfortunately tend to misrepresent the principles & concepts discussed & target those who follow this practice. While it sounds very metaphysical to say it, it is very true that all these structures are related through the passing down of the knowledge, let's say maybe through the stone masonry guilds who have been responsible for building sacred sites for many thousands of years. Within nearly all of these incredible structures you can see the use of sacred geometry, hidden mathematics within the design, intentional positioning on the Earth in relation to the heavens & related lightbox phenomena & more. As this knowledge spread across the Earth in ancient times (however that occurred) certain aspects were kept while others forgotten, whether it was constructing & moving massive megalithic sized blocks/stone or constructing with no gap using all side polygonal blocks. But even today you can find important modern structures that maintain some of the overall principles.🏛️📐

Everything that actually has permanent architectural value in France was built during the Middle Ages. Paradoxically, no one can say that the Enlightenment and the French Revolution were unnecessary. But there is another paradox. While the French State officially says it is proud of its cultural heritage, little Emmanuel Macron does not know what to do with a lost and directionless country that is losing the peculiar characteristics that distinguish it from other countries. France is totally and foolishly dominated by a mediocre and rapacious financial oligarchy that devours the country while the 9.2 million French people are plunged into poverty and the majority of the population eagerly consumes garbage produced by the American cultural industry.
