@@flmg8047 Joao is a huuuuge inspiration and he’s a monster especially after what he went through to still have the balls to drop in huge conditions. My opinion is that his last wave was a little over-scored that’s it. It could’ve gone either way but in my opinion Ramzi has to do the impossible to go excellent. He’s always 0,5/ 0,8 less scored compared to other competitors from Australia, Hawaii or US.

I love how Toledo dodged the barrel on that last wave he had. If he would have tucked in and come out he would have won the heat.

Too say it was tiny the first day or so would be an understatement. Toledo caught 3 waves and was visibly crapping his pants once it got to a decent size.

After he went down in the West bowl he had a broken board when Poto and the safety guy on the sled picked him up. For some reason he jumps off the back to go retrieve the other half of his board??? Who the f$&# knows causing one of the World's all time greatest watermen and safety experts Vetea David to ground their ski on the reef! So lame and of course Turpel and Parsons didn't call him on it because they're all in on it!

toledo could simply put out a 5 minute web clip of him packing some slabs and that would make everyone shutup. instead, he'll go down in history as the least versatile world champion of all time

Still, he's 2 time world champ. Not facing huge slabs but clinic surfing other kind of waves. I think he needs to put a lot of time in waves of consequence. But it wouldn't surprise if he succeeds. Just a reminder of a failed reign: House of Hobgood was inherited half way through the end of the year. Waaaay less significative than Toledo's reign.
