I think the "on field, off field, support, sustain" thing is more to help newer players, if you know your character isn't being built that way its fine, but for new players maybe they didn't even know

it's also a filter option so you don't need to search for them if you need a dps just press the icon and all DPS's all in front of you it will help in choosing the 16+ characters fast and balance between dps and supports so you don't have too many DPS's and a few supports vice versa

Ororon kit is less restrictive than you think he needs only one other hydro or Natlan character in your team which give you a free 2 slots in the team which makes him better than chevy in flexibility and he can with Natlan artifact buff the team provide AoE damage which makes him side-grade to Fischl and great support outside his specialty in many teams including neuvillette,chasca, hyberbloom and overload teams the gliding passive works outside Natlan unlike chasca and Xilonin and many others Natlan characters and the fact he doesn't really need CONs for him to shine he's already better than half of 4 stars characters his C6 the only true upgrade giving him a small attack buff that dosn't really matter in many teams he is in which means at C0 he is a complete character
