Chase doesn't seem to do much of any of the actual work in his videos, he leaves that up to his goons, and then he shows up later to take credit for everything. Maybe that means he is actually trying to act like a real CEO. 😆I noticed in that recent video that they found a treasure trove of SNES games and they got really excited every time they found an Atlus release because they could sell it for a lot. As someone who is a huge fan of Atlus as a developer and a publisher, I found that a bit discouraging because they just see their games as dollar signs and people like that will just make it more difficult for me to collect their games. If there would be any complete collection I would go for, it would be for Atlus releases and people like Chase and his gang of brown-nosing dorks will just make it more expensive for someone like me to own and enjoy all of those games.
@steviefreakinc7 ай бұрын
Yeah dude I’m right there with ya. Their average viewer probably doesn’t realize their excitement is because of the profits they foresee. So to the viewer they get hyped for the game because he thinks they’re hyped for the game. It’s a parlor trick.

My biggest problem with chase isn't even lowballing garage sales or Fomo whatnots - its their huge commitment to selling RETRO games and systems...but REPAIRING them with xyab knockoff parts and selling them as if they were OEM. Selling consoles with cables, back cases, springs, joysticks, new chips, or compartments (and these aren't even OEM replacements) is not good condition - this means they are refurbished. I agree, games are meant to be played and for every sealed copy of a game out there means there is one less opportunity for someone to play it. Retro games are a finite resource because there won't be an official reprinting of them and physical media will eventually degrade and die. So games that are sitting there sealed will never have lived to serve their purpose and are just slowly dying without anyone enjoying them in the way they were intended to be. All the monetary value of a game on a collector market means to me is the size of the obstacle for me to obtain it. I don't want to collect things because of their going price or rarity, I want to collect things that I will enjoy and that I can interact with to get to experience them in a way that brings happiness into my life.
