This is an old video, but the commentator obviously doesn’t know the restrictions police are under. All of those crazy pedestrians standing around make it difficult for them to act aggressively. They can’t do a pit maneuver, or they would run into the crazy people watching everything. The driver supposedly has a gun, and everyone standing around puts the crowd at risk if he truly does. Police acted responsibly to take this person down.

yes, and they can't just act, they have a commander in their ear telling them what to do. A police officer can't just ram a car driving because they want to end the pursuit. Its their job to keep the public safe! If this was a commentators car that got hit if the police would "just ram him" believe he would be the loudest mouth saying police handled it wrong.

Liability, there’s technically a non-zero chance that they have the wrong person, and if that’s true, the news can be sued. Better to call them suspects than risk a lawsuit, even if the chance of them being wrong is remote

He finally doesn't maneuver a sharp curve takes out a post. Cop says man why'd you keep running now you've got matching felonies in 3 counties. 2 different cops tried to pit. Cops then joked they didn't get any Bumper to Bumper Love. That was cute. Nice guys.

@@missasinenomine Police departments follow a strict set of rules in chases because they often have lawsuits thrown at them for damage or endangering people's lives by ramming. There have been cases where people have died because an officer rammed a suspect and he ended up on the sidewalk which killed a mother and her child. So they cannot perform pit maneuvers or ram unless they are given the green light.
